  1. Oxford will have to work a bit harder with weaker reserves but Richardson hasn't proven to be much of a threat so a lot relies on Warren. Top 5s for both sides have been excellent but Atkins on a hot streak at the moment could be differnce maker. Home win but a decent push. (Secretly keeping fingers crossed for 46-44 and a super heat)
  2. Whatever Harrys issues are its certainly not fair that he is passing them on to the paying Workington crowds. Has Warren turned it around? Big score but barely beat an opponent as most points were gained from mechanical breakdowns gifted to him. Think the next couple of matches will tell if he has had a confidence boost or lost his way.
  3. To be honest whilst the actions were despisably petty it has only had a positive effect on the Nora operations and gained a lot of support and interest from across the sport. Ultimately all publicity is good publicity and i hope it has not only strengthened the resolve of those involved but also tempted more to join the ranks.
  4. Someone better versed in these matters may confirm but chances are Edinburgh will still provide the minimum requirements of his visa (accommodation, basic income etc) just because he has lost his riding place with the CL side i think they are duty bound for the duration of the visa?
  5. Using Joe Hughes International (because they list prices) and selecting only the basic level items focussing on a single bike for amateur level racing with no donor parts id guestimate that it would cost easily £5-7K to build up a respectable new machine (not including cost of engine). Will chuck rough figures below but thats the tip of the iceberg.... countershaft £385 clutch £585 forks + damper £450 diamond £250 rear end £150 engine plates £120 fuel tank £100 air filter £50 tyres £120 (Front&Back) wheels £250 rear £180 front exhaust £350 (front pipe, silencer, heat shield) dirt deflector £300 carb £675 Total £3965
  6. Im not so sure. I think if it all clicks the Mildenhall side is a threat to anyone. Bowtell, Congreve and Butcher will relish the bigger spaces of the Northside track, in fact had Butcher still been at reserve it would be a very different tale. However an out of form Warren and a track that will terrify Richardson could make the difference. Still think Mildy will stop the Comets hitting 50 though.
  7. Biggest test to date for the Comets and the Fen Tigers too as the aggregate point from these two fixtures could be crucial. Both teams have a strong top 4/5 so will come down to fine margins i suspect. Will Harry McGurk or Josh Warren rediscover some form? Its likely to be a busy afternoon for the latter and the battle of the reserves could swing it.
  8. Just wait until Dayle Wood takes to the track....
  9. I think Hook will get fixed up somewhere, Bickley needs to enjoy the rest of the season (or drop his NL average so at least he gets a place next year)
  10. Certainly boosts any hopes they hold. Probably the worst year to have only 2 play off spots as arguably a top four of Oxford, Leicester, Worky and Mildy with any capable of taking the title on the right day
  11. How can it be worse? Starke is averaging just over 3 this season and his average is on the slide, if Morley can score his average its an improvement to the team. However until there is a potent reserve in place i don't see any particular threat from Plymouth to anyone this year.
  12. So the deal works until the bikes need to be back in Poland.....
  13. Will see by what bikes he turns up with at the first meeting? Lets face it Godfather ain't really making good decisions thus far.....
  14. If Cleggy had been given 10grand he might have scored a few more points too
  15. The problem with continuing at even individual/amateur level is the supplies of equipment will dry up. Currently lower leagues and amateurs mostly feed off buying second hand pro bikes. If they stop being purchased the suppliers will shut down too and just leave a trickle of parts available or revert to the days of bodging and mending to keep ailing bikes running
  16. SCB or BSPL its still Godfrey on the board. Smarmy Vatcher and Lawrence are the mouth pieces but they are paid puppets of the BSPL so look at the insecure little men who are afraid thier monopoly will crumble further.
  17. Events still advertised as upcoming under Nora at other tracks including Kings Lynn. Will these all be cancelled due to the pressure from the SCB, will the fines be issued to the other tracks and bans issued or is it only Kent getting pushed around?
  18. With only 3 kent riders able to beat an opponent (and Kingston left that late to join in) the massacre was always on. Few falls from the home side prevented the Cubs from hitting 60 but the aggregate point looks pretty safe already.
  19. With an afternoon practice to get dialled in a grippy Leicester at NL is a huge advantage. The score would have been similar if the track was slick. The difference between the two sides is vast.
  20. Leicester to allow kent a 60 point win as a sign of solidarity....they will still take the aggregate bonus point though.
  21. Pure spite from little men with a bit of power. How Vatcher can hold his head after flouncing round on IOW when they were in the NL and all the youth training days there then be the spearhead of the attack shows the man he is. Sadly Si Kellow as a new promotor isn't prepared for all the games the mafia board can play and ultimately is going to have his resolve and health tested to the limit. History is repeating with any threat or slightly respectable product being snuffed out.
  22. The problem is those track have bonds lodged with the SCB so would take a big financial hit mid season. I can definitely see a winter of discontent ahead and a significant fewer number of tracks heading to tapes next season
  23. I have to admit that was one of my very early thoughts after hearing the news too (the firsts were those that would get me removed from here due to language and contant). Would certainly be interesting to hear who from the SCB issued the fines and suspended bans. Was it Vatcher acting big or the board itself? If so who on the board as definitely can't see Paul Hurry voting for it, Tony Steele isn't so petty which leaves CVS, Rob Godfrey and Jim Lawrence....oh...
  24. If it was all about development he would get the 7 jacket and all four rides
  25. Thinks that highly likely to be a continuing trend. Away wins will be a big boost to any side but aggregate points even more key. Oxford still in with a great chance but when its so tight why be stubborn /gamble on Fellows.
