  1. Just wait until Dayle Wood takes to the track....
  2. I think Hook will get fixed up somewhere, Bickley needs to enjoy the rest of the season (or drop his NL average so at least he gets a place next year)
  3. Certainly boosts any hopes they hold. Probably the worst year to have only 2 play off spots as arguably a top four of Oxford, Leicester, Worky and Mildy with any capable of taking the title on the right day
  4. How can it be worse? Starke is averaging just over 3 this season and his average is on the slide, if Morley can score his average its an improvement to the team. However until there is a potent reserve in place i don't see any particular threat from Plymouth to anyone this year.
  5. So the deal works until the bikes need to be back in Poland.....
  6. Will see by what bikes he turns up with at the first meeting? Lets face it Godfather ain't really making good decisions thus far.....
  7. If Cleggy had been given 10grand he might have scored a few more points too
  8. The problem with continuing at even individual/amateur level is the supplies of equipment will dry up. Currently lower leagues and amateurs mostly feed off buying second hand pro bikes. If they stop being purchased the suppliers will shut down too and just leave a trickle of parts available or revert to the days of bodging and mending to keep ailing bikes running
  9. SCB or BSPL its still Godfrey on the board. Smarmy Vatcher and Lawrence are the mouth pieces but they are paid puppets of the BSPL so look at the insecure little men who are afraid thier monopoly will crumble further.
  10. Events still advertised as upcoming under Nora at other tracks including Kings Lynn. Will these all be cancelled due to the pressure from the SCB, will the fines be issued to the other tracks and bans issued or is it only Kent getting pushed around?
  11. With only 3 kent riders able to beat an opponent (and Kingston left that late to join in) the massacre was always on. Few falls from the home side prevented the Cubs from hitting 60 but the aggregate point looks pretty safe already.
  12. With an afternoon practice to get dialled in a grippy Leicester at NL is a huge advantage. The score would have been similar if the track was slick. The difference between the two sides is vast.
  13. Leicester to allow kent a 60 point win as a sign of solidarity....they will still take the aggregate bonus point though.
  14. Pure spite from little men with a bit of power. How Vatcher can hold his head after flouncing round on IOW when they were in the NL and all the youth training days there then be the spearhead of the attack shows the man he is. Sadly Si Kellow as a new promotor isn't prepared for all the games the mafia board can play and ultimately is going to have his resolve and health tested to the limit. History is repeating with any threat or slightly respectable product being snuffed out.
  15. The problem is those track have bonds lodged with the SCB so would take a big financial hit mid season. I can definitely see a winter of discontent ahead and a significant fewer number of tracks heading to tapes next season
  16. I have to admit that was one of my very early thoughts after hearing the news too (the firsts were those that would get me removed from here due to language and contant). Would certainly be interesting to hear who from the SCB issued the fines and suspended bans. Was it Vatcher acting big or the board itself? If so who on the board as definitely can't see Paul Hurry voting for it, Tony Steele isn't so petty which leaves CVS, Rob Godfrey and Jim Lawrence....oh...
  17. If it was all about development he would get the 7 jacket and all four rides
  18. Thinks that highly likely to be a continuing trend. Away wins will be a big boost to any side but aggregate points even more key. Oxford still in with a great chance but when its so tight why be stubborn /gamble on Fellows.
  19. I would think that almost any unattached minimum averge rider would score more than Fellows. Hes proven to be off the pace, on the floor and had poor mechanical reliability. He was an odd choice when signing and now being kept on seems a liability
  20. As covered above big differences are the bike costs (as in purchase and maintenance) if you have that sponsored in the UK, Poland or both then happy days and its just travelling time but extra bike time and pay. If you don't then its double outlay and any extra monies earned are being spent out at a much higher rate. The fact is that sponsorships are landed by likeable, hard working and appreciative people.
  21. Hagon had started the season well and did alright in one wet meeting at Poole....now hes the hottest property in the UK. Certainly shows the state of british speedway. Trigger at Plymouth is probably the best 2.00 option available which is a worry but thats the way the team is built, a lot is reliant on Turner turning up and all the while he takes time to settle its going to be a problem
  22. I rate Hodder but good night for him would be wins in heat 2 and 8 plus 3rds in his other 2 rides and one of Bowens. Whilst 9 from him and 2 from Bowen vs 1 from the Oxford reserves is a 10 point swing i still think Oxfords 1-5 will do enough. Id go 48-42
  23. Not knocking a well built side but home victories on a track nobody else has visited (plus expect the majority of teams to be decent at home this year) and an away victory at a track the team all knows well. Once Worky have gone to Belle Vue or Oxford then it will show if they are a serious contender or better of the also rans.
  24. Last i saw was suspected breaks to collar bone and uppet arm for Kelsey? Either way by the letter of the law Harrison would have to come back in for Dugard as he was a 28 day signing. Then someone (quite frankly anyone) in for Harry who is either not bothered, not prepared or not trying.
  25. Harry McGurk did his best for the Bullets cause
