Birmingham v Leicester
Sings4Speedway replied to GiveusaB's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Are there any Lakeside assets anymore? I thought the company had been wound up and riders still owed monies. Either way Morley should be kept at Eastie. As for Becker to Brum do they have / need the Visa licences etc? -

The crazy rules tart? Plenty in Speedway that title could belong too -

This is where the crazy rules tart to kick in again as if current Prem average is used x 1.5 he would be on a 7.90 BUT because speedway is wonderful in its rules he will probably be available on his last season finishing average of 6.00. -

That would be a scary move partly because Eastbourne would become near unstoppable with that side and really take the edge off quite an open league and because it would be so hard on Ben who hasn't done much wrong. Would think once again its hopeful trackside rumours but they do tend to creep out from Eastbourne more than other clubs. -

Think there will always be rumours flying around especially with the current team despite them proving more than competitive as a unit than many expected (myself included). Obvious and easy swaps would be BWD & Hume in for Thomsen & Shanes which would offer a bit more top 5 clout whilst losing little off the tail BUT i very much doubt that any actual changes will be made yet. -
Yet likewise there were plenty of fans who allowed extra time, arrived in advance and were in the stadium. There will always be tardy people in life but constantly delaying the starts for them does not help teach them a lesson, if anything it encourages others to arrive a bit later as they know they will get away with it. I must add this isn't just Eastbourne who do this infuriating practice.

Will always split opinions, he's just one of those riders. Personally i don't count extreme sledging & naked face down snow angels as a professional approach but as i said just an opinion. He could easily put all that behind him and go on to have a very solid career if not he will just join the heap of riders who had the ability and never got close to their true potential.

Glasgow 2019 Onwards

Norwich? Certainly East Anglia anyway. I believe Jack loved his time with Glasgow but the travelling just took its toll in the end. Can most likely travel to Leicester and home again in the time it took home to get to Scotland. -

Plenty of his team mates are managing just fine along with others from the group. Will find himself with much less in his purse if he gets dropped from both team places. -
Very dominant display against one of the fancied teams this year just shows how many tonkings this side will dish out this year. Only Jenkins starting the year slowly and Gilkes over trying prevented the 60 mark being beaten. Couldn't make the opener and unlikely to bother with a Central Park visit now until Mildenhall come to town at the end of May.

Never nice when a rider is held back due to injury. I wasn't convinced by the signing based upon his previous form as he had a tendency to slide off a lot and really dislike riders who retire then return a few months later. Sounds like he is far below the level he was at previously and loyalties or not riders looking awkward and getting beaten by NL level reserves don't deserve a team place. If you want that level of performance in the side then run with a potential developer rather than a never been. -

Bjerre has been around far too long to be having all these bike issues. They only stem from penny pinching or poor preparation, neither are acceptable at the top level of UK speedway, same applies to Barker too (although that never seems to change). -
Surely a change has to come sooner rather than later surrounding Phillips before the fans start to turn against the promotion? Whilst the selection lower is a bit slim with Jenkins starting the season below par he still looks a better option and Luke Harris has to be worth a look at for the future? Forget Edwards as Eastbourne have that deal sown up while others were sleeping. Phillips has had his chances and not taken them, now he is just blocking a spot for another Brit and its almost getting to the point that the interests of speedway card is played. As for Bjerre he has been around far too long to be having poor equipment and that is just not good enough.

Whilst i agree that the standalone companies do have greater difficulties negotiating fees (perhaps clubs should get together and negotiate a stronger deal) Speedway & Stadiums are in the Hospitality&Entertainment industry and as such are expected in these evolving times to offer card based payments. I have seen many times people leave shops / venues that do not accept card payments as they simply do not carry cash and the majority don't return, Speedway simply cannot afford any more spectators to no longer return. -

15 per cent? Whilst some of the systems are not cheap to setup Barclays and/or others are not highway men. -

Wondering if Bewley & Lambert will be the other way round given Ruthless' connections? Surely its just a waste of a space giving Harris/Worrall a go? Might as well let an emerging rider like Zach Wajtknecht have crack and gain some experience?
