  1. Why was track being graded after the meeting had finished???
  2. How the hell did Iversen qualify for the GP's based on what he's dished up for Lynn this season?
  3. I didn't expect any points tonight, but did expect a little more. Shocking performance. Hope Ty is ok!
  4. Andersen returning doesn't inspire me at all. Nothing against the lad, i'm sure he'll be a half decent rider in a few years but we need someone now who can influence the rest of this season. Before injury he was barely scoring 2-3 points so putting him straight back in after injury is going to offer very little to the team. I had high hopes for Garrity, his own injury is obviously an issue but we will be vulnerable at reserve going forward. I think Garrity should be given more meetings. Options for Andersen/Lambert are very limited. Stefan Nielsen 3.67 or James Sarjeant 3.00? When is the cut off for team changes??
  5. I find it surprising that Riss is not interested in riding in the premiership. Unless he has other commitments abroad surely a young rider would/should jump at the opportunity.
  6. The reserves will be changed, but it'll be Garrity and Andersen coming back in.
  7. Good win tonight bearing in mind what our reserves scored. Now realising more than ever, how much we will miss Kerr. According to Buster, Garrity and Andersen will be back after Wednesday's meeting with Poole. Not sure if that's a good thing or not??
  8. Huckenbeck would IMO be the best option but persuading him to come back to Britain would be the stumbling block. Next best would surely be Garrity, perhaps they are waiting until he's fit. Looks like he won't ride until the British GP next Saturday. Another option If his form in Sweden on Tuesday is anything to go by is Thomas H Jonasson. He would certainly do a job but this would probably cost too much. Other than those 3, it leaves the likes of Ostergaard , Bach or Robson, not sure any of those will be too inspiring!! Fingers crossed for Kai
  9. Simon Lambert on a 28 day contract for Andersen!!!
  10. My money's on us turning up at Leicester on Monday with R/R and a guest!
  11. Hadn't thought about that!!! Can't be many options.... Stuart Robson!
  12. Wishing both Lewis and Kasper speedy recoveries. I'm guessing Lynn will have to look for replacements with plenty of meetings coming up! Ulrich Ostergaard & Jonas Jeppesen??
  13. Last nights event were unfortunate, i'm not sure you can really blame anyone and thoughts should be with the injured riders. My concern was the track! It was very grippy, it was perfectly safe but offered no entertainment at all. The first 3 home meetings this season were great spectacles with good racing, plenty of passing on a slicker track. The last 2 home meetings (1 and a half) were the complete opposite on grippy surfaces. When Sargeant (no disrespect) is beating Iversen because their is only one line and when you see a rider of Hans Andersen's quality half a lap behind the leader it does make you question why the track is prepared in that way. The modern speedway bike is so difficult to ride under these circumstances (although admittedly Lambert and Bjerre didn't have any issues).
  14. With MPT missing, Kasper Andersen will definitely have to have 4 rides. If he scores less than 4 points surely it'll be time for a change. I'm hoping for his sake that we see some improvement tonight.
  15. Should be a very tight and competitive meeting. Can't see much between the teams. IMO the signings of Wright and Wells makes Leicester stronger. Could go either way. Stars 46 v 44 Lions.
  16. Totally agree! Say what you like about Matt Ford (i'm not a fan) but his only thought process is making his team successful. He's just got Frederik Jakobsen in on an assessed 4.00 average which is the same as Kasper Andersen's. For me Jakobsen is far far better than Andersen. Why aren't the Lynn management looking for these opportunities or are they???
  17. Totally agree with you. So frustrating that our sport is being run by muppets !
  18. A full team is all that fans want as well. Fixed race nights would have worked if they were on a Thursday and Monday and not Wednesday's. The BSPA have made a complete farce of FRNs. What's the betting they will be scrapped next year with no progress made. Race on Thursdays meaning no clashes with the Danish League and don't allow Championships teams to race that day meaning no doubling up issues. It's quite simple but promoters are blinkered. Seriously how hard can it be....?
  19. Great to see Jorgensen have a good night and a superb performance from Palm-Toft. Rye House were really poor, I expected them to put up more of a fight. Unfortunately Anderson is quite simply not up to it and we need to look at possible replacements but knowing Lynn they'll stick by him.
  20. Tonight's meeting is huge for The Stars. No Proctor which I believes weekens us, Palm Toft is gonna be very busy and Anderson will need to have 4 rides. Unless Iversen is on top form we could really struggle. Get a win and we're back on track but another home defeat and we'll be exactly where everyone expected at the start of the season... Rock bottom with things looking gloomy.
  21. Having really enjoyed the racing in the first two home meetings and been pleasantly surprised with the team performance and overall atmosphere, this meeting brings us all down to earth with a bump and proves that the BSPA and the self centered / selfish promoters who voted to have FRN's on a Wednesday are absolutely clueless. Whilst the likes of Mr Ford and Mr Louis are deciding the fate of British Speedway in general we have no hope of the Sport going forward. They should be ashamed, but of course they won't be - as everything in their own garden is rosy!! Losing Iversen, Bjerre, Andersen and Palm Toft from the meeting, be lucky to have 200 people turn up!
  22. So it looks like being the team we all thought it would be a few weeks ago. Not sure it'll be good enough for play offs but we might surprise a few people, fingers crossed. I for one will be happy just to see Iversen back in the team. For me, Iversen and Lambert (regardless of attitude) are 2 riders i'm happy to pay to watch race. If it is the young Dane Ansersen at reserve, lets hope he's on the pace straight away.
  23. Certainly does look like being the strongest line up on paper. Good strength all the way down, particularly the second strings. The team to beat IMO.
