Not for me. He looked several steps behind Max Clegg and surely, if we're talking about replacing Simon L, it has to be a rider at least as good as Max. Bukhave hasn't set the heather on fire in the UK previously but - for the present at least - he is well ahead of MacDonald, who is not Josh Pickering Mk. 2.

On the strength of tonight at Redcar, from.a Diamonds perspective I wouldn't be interested in Jedd List at all, and I wouldn't fall over myself to sign Josh MacDonald. Granted MacDonald looked in a different league to List but not competitive with Max Clegg. I don't know what Bukhave"s average is (just like others on here, possibly!) but he was head and shoulders above the Australians and looks as though he might be a proper rider.

Julie Lewis Memorial @ Redcar 24/5/19

I thought that this was a very enjoyable meeting - a very well thought out format and some top class racing to match. The Redcar promotion should take a bow! -
I'm afraid heat 8 last night clinched it for me. Time for a change.

Lasse Bjerre just looks slow sometimes. You would think his brother could help getting him dialled into BP. If Lasse and Lambert left could we bring in Newman with Clegg at no.2? (Sorry, I'm not being lazy...I'm in the Lake District with very iffy internet...God only knows when this will reach the board).

I agree with @screm and with @highside - I did think Simon Lambert would turn it round but unfortunately it appears I was wrong. For whatever reason I doubt there will be a change at reserve. It has been a disappointing season so far and perhaps a signing would help keep the interest of some of the crowd. I'd love to see Kyle Newman back but that might mean more major surgery to the team, so maybe not. I enjoyed the meeting tonight and like the rest of the hard core we'll keep on showing up but a couple of wins are needed now to retain the support of ome of those who haven't invested in season tickets. On.an entirely different note I thought @Arthur Cross did a cracking job on the PA tonight - a very different style from Roy; I'd forgotten how good a presenter Dalbers is. -

Is Lasse fit? -
Sorry Danders, you've lost me completely with this one.

I’m really looking forward to the new season. Just saying, like.

Wilko has been a great servant at many tracks. No one could fault his effort last year but he isn’t the Wilko of old.
-
I'd opt for Simon Lambert - he's had some good meetings at BP in past seasons and always seems to give 100%. Unless MacDonald is Pickering Mk 2.

Well said Ms. Lion, I'll echo all of that. Remember everyone, it is our patriotic duty this Christmas to keep the nation's breweries in business and to contribute to the exchequer through payment of excise duties.

Just out of interest, are you the Redcar supporter who ed go turn up at BP dressed as a condom? Just asking...

I agree. He looked more like a speedway rider than others, in his spell with us.

Thank you, very much appreciated - see you on Saturday!

Slightly off topic, who do I contract to pay for 4 tickets for the Xmas do? Thanks Terrace "mine's a pint of Moretti" Grumbler

I don’t pretend to follow the NL closely but Coles was out of his depth when he was a Diamond. Has he improved a lot? i assume Philips will take the other reserve berth anyway. Someone mentioned he averaged 6 at home when he was with us - I have to say I don’t recall him riding to that sort of average. As to the other two team places, well, if one is Ludde then I think that might speak volumes about how the team is being put together. That said, it’s the art of the possible and the promotion will be doing their best, I’m sure of that.
-
You look to have a very decent team. Redcar is only 30 minutes from us so hopefully we will get to some meetings in 2019.
-
Righto, thank you, onwards and upwards...

Good points but at this stage of the game (end of days, if we’re not careful) getting a season ticket is as much about easing cash flow and a gesture of support as anything else. VFM doesn’t really come into it and I imagine the prices are set to reflect the envisaged costs. A twin spearhead of Rene and Aaron (I wish) won’t be cheap.

Evening Alan, and welcome to the pleasuredome. Thanks for the news about the STs. It’s always good to get them early, makes the season seem that bit closer. Be interested in your predictions for how the team will line up; you’ll have seen that some have already had a go. Oh, and be careful of some on here. @ruffdiamond is renowned for playing, Er, rough and watch out for that @Dandelion, she bites ;-)

I hope you're right....
