I find it utterly inconceivable that any promoter would turn that deal down. If they do, then speedway in this country is screwed. For the sake of the sport name those who are against this deal, utter, utter delusional idiots.
-
Yes the channel is now showing on my sky box. Swedish speedway on Wednesday & Polish speedway on Friday.

I was riding at Coventry the day that Tony was killed.

Leicester V Kings Lynn Saturday 5th August
Liontamer replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
couple of questions from a lions fan. 1) Does Peter York ever stop waffling on about feck all? He drives you round the chuffin' bend. Haven't we had to suffer enough Coventry rejects already (Garrity, Lynch) without having to put up with him too. please get rid asap. 2) why does any team sign three laps Lambert? I've never seen him complete a full race. 3) knuckle scraper Garrity.... Just why? 4) Dan Bewley, how good is he? Definitely one for the future. -
Thanks for the reply.I record using a sky hd box, Never had this problem before.

only one gripe with bt so far.Why did my recording on Monday night stop before the end of the meeting? Hope i don't have this problem on Saturday.

Buster Chapman - Is He Good For The Sport?
Liontamer replied to SCB's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Because Swindon have a shiny new stadium in someone's garage in Wales just waiting to be bolted together, that's why. "Liontamer, News at Ten, Cloud Cuckoo Land" -
Cheers "Falsie". Wouldn't it be great to get the old gang back in here.
-
Peter Ljung? No thanks. Been there, done that, we've had more than enough riders taking the p155 in the past thank you.
-
And relax.....

What bloody planet is Jim Lynch on? In this week's speedway star he's telling the Lions supporters not to worry about the thrashing at Somerset and the defeat at Poole as Somerset was dusty and Poole was a good meeting. He then says "It's the next two fixtures which are both at home which are the important ones for us". So Jim, the away fixtures don't matter then? And this from a team manager who's team has lost more home meetings than it's won so far. He comes across as someone who has no passion and couldn't really care less if we win or lose. Time to get rid of him as well as Bjerre and Garrity.

Presenters And Announcers

Peter York was my favourite.....if only for the fact that those lot at the other end of the M69 had to suffer his inane ramblings every week. -
Probably from the same morons who break in the stadium on a regular basis & smash it up. So are the Lions supporters now supposed to hand over £17 each to not have a clue what's beings said? To be honest, does the city of Leicester really want speedway back? The first meeting this season was fantastic, big crowd, lots of noise, great atmosphere. Since then it's like visiting a morgue. No atmosphere, can't hear the PA system & absolutely no attempt to excite the crowd. Add to that radio Leicester hardly ever mention the sport & i doubt that half the population of Leicester even know it exists. To me it's like watching something dying a very slow & painful death.
-
Agreed, it was fantastic entertainment. The only downside is that the PA system is now totally inaudible in the grandstand.
-
Was really looking forward to this season, but obviously not much has changed. Why the hell do I bother.
-
Q) How do you keep Leicester speedway fans in suspense? ...............
-
The options listed in Speedway Star this week were: 1) Coventry & Leicester track share. 2) Horton moves his entire team lock stock & barrel into Leicester If option 1 happened wouldn't this immediately undermine Dave Darcy, or would he be no longer involved in Leicester (there was a hint in the SS that he may not be. If option 2 happened, i can't see anyway that it would succeed. Does anyone seriously think that Leicester fans will turn up to watch Coventry in all but name, with Horton in charge? Utter madness. To be honest, if Leicester don't get their fingers out & sign some riders soon instead of waiting to see if they can grab any Coventry cast offs (& this isn't in any way meant to be detrimental to Coventry as i sincerely hope they ride this year), i fear that two sets of fans will very soon give up caring what happens. The current situation is completely farcical, no wonder speedway is hardly ever mentioned in the local media.
-
I was in Coventry the other week & said to a bloke "excuse me, is there a B&Q in Coventry?" He said "no you thick t**t, it's C.O.V....".
-
As a die hard Leicester fan, who likes nothing more than stuffing the bees, I really & sincerely hope they are able to continue for many years to come. GIood luck guys, hopefully I'll be standing on the first bend at Brandon again this year cheering on the Lions to an away win.
-
Bloody hell I hope not. Danny king - wouldn't mind Kenneth Bjerre - no thanks Lasse Bjerre - Leicester reject James Sarjeant - tape breaker Jason Garrity - knuckle scraping Leicester reject Josh bates - knuckle scraping Leicester reject Lewis Kerr - whatever
-
Apologies, it's probably down to me not wording it very well. I should of said he's the new promoter.
