Wouldn't make any difference to the rider if the crowd have their heads down or not. Most of the Lions riders don't even look at or acknowledge the crowd on either the track walk, or on the lap of honour.

I'm currently in the process of listing my entire collection of speedway memorabilia, which i have decided to sell. I sold my collection of race jackets recently and having retrieved over fifty years of stuff from my bulging loft, it was fascinating to go through it all and find things that i had forgotten i had. The one thing that i wont sell however, is a signed, framed picture of Bill Kitchen that his wife asked him to sign whilst literally on his deathbed. It must be the last autograph he ever signed and it takes pride of place in my office at home.

I was talking to someone last week & he was telling me he used to go to Blackbird Road & loved speedway. His next comment was "it's a real shame Leicester hasn't got a track now". He was amazed when i told him they did have one & it had been there for over a decade. Sadly, speedway is the best kept secret in Leicester. It's never mentioned on either of the Midlands local news stations, or anywhere else for that matter, not even when we did the double in 2019.

I always used to put a drop of Castrol R in the fuel tank of my road bikes. Didn't do them any harm & smelt lovely.

I've got two in my loft. One is half made up, but I never got round to finishing it. The second one is still in it's sealed box. After Christmas I intend to clear my loft out & sell off my 50 years collection of speedway memorabilia.

Why the Hell can't they just call it division 1 & 2? It isn't a premier league & it isn't a champion league. Don't try to make a silk purse out of a pig's ear.

Yes I would certainly support a championship level team. I get fed up with seeing the same teams week after week. I supported the lions home & away in the second division, but haven't bothered since they went up a league. I find it really hard to get enthusiastic about home meetings these days when it's Poole, Kings Lynn, Swindon etc etc every other bloody week ( that's when we aren't on a three week break from racing).

I really hope they do drop down, premier league my arse.

They are going to demolish the buildings on the home & back straight, that is demolishing the stadium to me. Also, it will leave the track completely exposed, can't see the local residents putting up with that can you?

So Swindon are going to demolish their existing stadium before planning permission has been granted for a replacement, & they believe this will happen because Gaming International has told them it will. Didn't they also believe previous bollox spouted that a new stadium was already stored in a warehouse somewhere in Wales & ready to be erected within the next week or two, a couple of years ago? Then of course there were the recent "plans" showing a grandstand facing away from the track & a "stadium" that looked like an aircraft hanger with a couple of windows near the roof.I hate saying this, but RIP Swindon speedway.

Only met him once a few years ago & took an instant dislike to the slimy knowall little sh**. Hope he's getting the crap knocked out of him on a regular basis.
