  1. I agree, I was very impressed by the look of the programme until I came to read it. Someone dropped a bo££ock big time.
  2. A fantastic meeting, the fireworks get better every year, met up with a lot of forum members again, & many for the first time. Sat next to Shazzybird during the meeting & she, like all the other members I met for the first time was really nice. Most of the day was enjoyable, although I was very pleased to see my bed after arriving home at 2:30am. Trust me folks, it didn't take much rocking to get me off to sleep. Well done to all the British lads, especially David Norris who looked so fast all evening, & of course congratulations to Greg. Fantastic meeting, great entertainment, good company, & scorching hot sunshine, can it get any better? PS, apologies to those members who I didn't get properly introduced to (Nevsy was one), it wasn't down to ignorance, it's just that I'm naturally a bit quiet. Oh & apologies also to those forum members who's sex I got completely wrong before. Finally, on bahalf of the Lt travelling roadshow, sorry if anyone was upset during the course of the evening. Cheers guys.
  3. Look, I've told you a million times before, don't exaggerate.
  4. Did I ever tell you about the time I fell over Norman Wisdom in a pub?
  5. ALL TOGETHER NOW.."My my myyyyyyy Delilah, la la la la la l......" What? Oh sorry, I forgot about the hangovers.........
  6. Err, excuse my ignorance but WTF is Javine? Why don't they just give everyone a paper & comb when they enter the stadium & let us make our own entertainment.
  7. See you all outside Sams bar at about 2pm. For those who haven't met me before I'll wear a carnation in my hair.
  8. Be honest mate, you threw your scrabble letters in the air & typed what landed on the board, didn't you........didn't you?
  9. Yeh, we're all having a vindaloo supper the night before.
  10. Alf Roberts had a shop too.......didn't ride speedway though.
  11. I'm staying in the pub, & I'm not coming out 'til start time.
  12. Last time I tried that I spent 3 months in traction.
  13. Actually, the following are taken from the speedway regulations (2000 edition but I assume they still apply): Section 11.39: Mudguards must project laterally beyond the tyre on each side. Section 11.40: A front mudguard must extend at least 5degrees ahead of a vertical line running through the centre of the front wheel axle & for an "upright" engine overlap the top edge of the engine guard by at least 5 degrees. A rear mudguard must extend at least 5 degrees behind a vertical line running through the centre of the rear axle. Section 11.40.1: Both front & rear mudguards must not have sharp edges. They must be made of material that will not cause injuries when deformed. etc. So Nikki has every right to complain if the regulations are not adhered to. Also, whilst I have always thought that Tony Steele is the best ref around today, he did, in my opinion make more than one wrong decision last night, & Tony Millard, for all the stick he receives (unfairly in my opinion), was the only one with the balls to say the ref bottled out. Well done Arfur.
  14. You beat me to it garf (git). Face it girls, speedway riders don't keep a hanky up their sleeves, they keep oily rags in their toolboxes. Anyway, a bit of snot & sweat never hurt anyone, it's speedway not morris dancing.
  15. An interesting question & one I've often thought about myself, especially when recently doing some work for the new White City shopping mall in London.
  16. I know I've got a couple of copies of each of these programmes, so I'll dig them out & get in touch with you.
  17. Yeh yeh yeh, how many more times are we going to hear that everything will be signed & sealed at any time, there's just a small detail to sort out etc etc. The latest announcement, with good news was due just after Christmas, result? The same as ever, jack sh*t. Let's face facts folks, it aint going to happen any more than Leicester, Cradley Heath etc. (A totally disillusioned invaders fan)
  18. Don't be modest mate, you've done speedway proud. If I'd had just one book published I'd be a very happy man indeed. Well done, & all the best for the future.
  19. OH MY GOD...please don't mention handlebars.
