  1. I really think this thread has run it's course now & should be locked. I was as piddled off as anyone by Han's actions last week, but enough is enough. I really can't condone any suggestions of violence whatsoever. By all means boo him as loudly as you can when he rides at your track, but any suggestions of slapping his face etc are totally unacceptable. Please mods can you lock this thread & let the whole sorry episode die a death.
  2. One of the worst crashes I've witnessed was in the last ever meeting at Leicester when Mike Lanham was so badly injured. If I recall he suffered something like 14 bone fractures & lost the use of one arm. I was also unfortunate enough to be riding in a meeting where a rider was killed right in front of me. I was one of the first to see the result of his injuries close up & it's something you never forget. Speedways a fantastic sport, but sometimes it can also kick you in the guts without warning.
  3. I seem to recall he came to my wedding.
  4. The Eagle has landed. ....................oh sorry, I thought this was the book club forum.
  5. Speaking as a pacifist I think that anyone who endorses any kind of violence deserve to have their legs broken.
  6. Wot? You mean I'm the only one then dammit?
  7. Good to see you've still got your sense of humour mate. Sorry if my comment was a bit out of order. I agree that Anderson's tactics in the last race didn't affect the overall score, but I still think the smirking little toad deserves a good kicking (verbaly, not in reality). Looking forward to meeting up with you for a pint sometime. (Your round).
  8. Middlo, don't feel too bad mate. At least you got the chance to see at first hand that mole on Sophie Blake's right twit. See, every cloud has a silver lining.
  9. Wot (sic) about it? I can't help it, I was born like that. Anyway, I asked you never to mention it....
  10. and restock the shelves with good old British Sour Grapes Steve, I used to enjoy a bit of banter with you in the past, but just lately you seem to have lost your sense of humour. Isn't it strange how people change.
  11. Not forgetting pigs ears. My dog loves them.
  12. I thought they already had before each race in front of the riders.
  13. Middlo has the one thing that makes the difference between a good team manager & a great team manager..110% passion. He & everyone who rode for team GP in this years world cup deserve a massive pat on the back. In the end I don't think the heat 25 incident made any difference to the overall score, & Sweden deserved to win, but having said that, I sincerely hope that the odious little Danish toad who happens to ride for Ipswich is treated with the contempt he deserves from now on.
  14. Totally gutted. Congrats to Sweden, commisserations to the Brits (including Middlo) you all did us proud. Hans Anderson, no comment I don't want to be banned, but you showed your true colours tonight. Even your Ipswich team mates were disgusted.
  15. Couldn't agree more, my hero.
  16. I thought he looked a bit glassy eyed (& that's a lot of glass folks), before he even opened his mouth. He sounded totally wrecked whilst on his knees looking at the track. Fantastic.
  17. To be honest, being single again I'd rather have a nice glass of wine.
  18. Strange isn't it but I've always been attracted to dark haired women. Just one of those things I suppose. Having said that I think all women are gorgeous.
  19. Just HAS to be yellow. Dunno why but dark haired women just float my boat. Sorry to ruin the lives of all you blondes out there, but you'll get over it. Time is a great healer, & there's always Rod Stewart.
  20. I did watch the meeting & I really enjoyed it. It's just that I was bored rigid by the ONE HOUR of padding, waffling & re-runs of old meetings. Sky always do it. Anyway, great result for the Brits. Well done lads. One final comment. Why couldn't we have the Yanks in the tournament instead of Hungry & Italy. I'm sure the racing would be even better with the likes of Hancock, Hammil, Ermolenko etc involved. Let's face it, last night was a three team meeting.
  21. 36 minutes into it & I've lost interest. Why do Sky always pad out their programmes with endless repeats of past meetings? Going for a shower before watching Coro.
  22. 25 minutes into it..FOR GOD'S SAKE GET ON WITH IT. I don't want to know what happened 50 years ago, I just want to watch a speedway meeting.
