  1. Is this "test" another of the Polish OneSport campaign to screw the rest of world speedway with their own events, or is it a "real" FIM-approved international?
  2. I highlight the final paragraph of the post by Mikeyt, much of which is fair comment. The promotion are better to highlight potential difficulties earlier rather than later, and I totally agree on the "Newport" parallel -- having a club, a track, a speedway in any shape or form is better than not having one, probably ever again. I have been to Plymouth twice, once under the old promotion (in the Conference League) and once last season. Great track, and much-tidied arena on the second visit. Hope they can keep going in PL, but if it needs to be back to NL in 2015, so be it. Better than nowt!
  3. As I see it, Liam Carr went better for Edinburgh when scoring points for fun with Buxton boosted his confidence. Buxton's season starts on Sunday, so Berwick might reasonably expect to see his scoting picking up. It is very encouraging to see Berwick giving a local lad a chance, and hopefully Bandits' supporters will get behind his efforts.
  4. So that is Harris, Grajczonek, Suchanek, Cook, Pipjer, Kroner, Doyle, Sundstrom and Tressarieu, plus two Poles, two Danes and who else?
  5. Interesting theory. If (that's if) Adam Roynon turns up at Scunthorpe next week, do the MC just rubber-stamp it? Because dual-ownership in the same league is a no-no in virtually all professional sports for obvious reasons.
  6. I think the person who put up the Sheffield team got Simon Stead, Taylor Poole and Josh Bates in the right places. Plus the wrong Nielsen. Oh dear.
  7. What is the situation with Workington holding a meeting on June 7th, please? Josh Grajczonek is listed to be at Berwick in the GP Challenge. With Craig Cook and Richard Lawson also involved, quite a few from Cumbria might fancy the trip east.
  8. We visited the marvellous museum at Loanhead last week. Quite astounding, an Aladdin's cave of speedway. Congratulations to Ian Paterson and his friends for making this quiet Scottish backstreet warehouse a fantastic place.
