It’s money well spent if they can get a reasonable hotel with good wi-fi. That way they can have a Zoom meeting without anyone having to leave their room!
-
Think we need to get Richie’s address and pass it on to your Dad!

Yes, like the look of that septet, pretty solid as you say. Assuming that Flint would take the RS berth, the averages for the other six (by my maths) add up to 40.63. This allows for 2.5% reductions for Lawson and Kemp. This then obviously assumes that the points limit would be at least 41.
-
There is also a shortage of teams if you are referring to the UK.
-
Bit harsh on Vatcher as I do like what he is supposedly trying to do. Unfortunately he is just a puppet like Phil Morris. After one season with Morris in his position, I cannot see what he has brought to the table to date.
-
To be honest, I bet the club would probably agree to this even if it wasn’t in the rules. Yes, it’s that important (not) and nobody can really be a*sed.
-
The SGB website states that a new date is to be arranged following today’s postponement.

Your post highlights that you are intelligent and will therefore be lost on the powers that be!
-
Thanks, do you have knowledge of the points limit by chance?
-
An international team can still include a Brit…………Surprised you didn’t in include Chris Harris!
-
Not asking you to spill the beans but are we looking at seven man teams or the rumoured six man teams?

The longer this Jubilee Final drags on the more embarrassing it becomes for the sport. What started as a one off three team final, then became a two legged affair for the two reams that we’re still bothered (in what other sport, at any level, would a team reach a final and lose interest?) and now we are down to a one off meeting with an under strength away side made up of guests. But after over a year, the final format may even change again if it is ever raced. If there is actually a physical trophy, sell the bloody thing for scrap and give the money to the Ben Fund. Let’s all just move on.

When the Cubs eventually get the fixtures completed, they will most likely be celebrating (fingers crossed) by spraying each other with mulled wine rather than champagne!
-
Has a season ever ran into November? Unless rock/paper/scissors is introduced that seems to be the way it is going looking at weather forecasts. If it were any later than that, Santa might be available to guest for any unavailable riders.
-
There is a silver lining for Poole because the trophy polish that they bought can be sold to Leicester Cubs for their league and cup silverware (barring disaster). The Pirates will most likely claim the Jubilee Trophy but there is no need to keep any polish back for this because you can’t polish cardboard.
-
The club’s pricing is actually for a wet and cold Sunday afternoon. There, bet you’ll go now!
-
It would appear to be a good opportunity for thrifty hide and seek enthusiasts to test their skills after the first match!
-
Makes you wonder when the proposed re-arranged date will be looking at the long range weather forecast. The BBC forecast (which we all know is never wrong) there are hardly any dry days predicted this side of Halloween.
-
Why not just invite 14 riders along and then pick the teams on the night. Like we used to pick footy teams in the playground. Could be more riders than supporters showing up. What a farce!

Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)
Teromaafan replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Who paid for air fences when they were introduced? The club will have to foot the cost. In any other sport it would be seen as an investment to mitigate future financial losses. Unfortunately the people in speedway cannot see beyond next week. How about Premiership clubs spending some money on covers instead of paying money they can barely afford to so called GP level big hitters who show next to no commitment to British Speedway. Nah, of course not. -
With Dan & Joe back, I don’t see any team doing the Lions over two legs.
-
Maybe not so polite and friendly with elderly people though eh?

I'll have some of that, hope you're right! If my sums are correct, that brings the team total to 42.3 points for the top six. Assuming the usual 2.5% team building reduction for Brits, that brings the total down to 42 points, which is what some have mentioned being the new limit. What could go wrong! -

According to the SGB website, Dickson will team manage at both Leicester and Berwick next year, which would suggest the clubs will be in the Premiership and Championship respectively. Stewart took a lot of stick for the Lions falling off a cliff this season, but I still believe he is the right man for the club and obviously has the backing of the new owner/s (whoever that is). -
Pairs league teams with 30 teams is being considered at the next AGM apparently. Conscious of the sport’s integrity in this country, there will be no guest facility for injured/ unavailable riders. Absences can only be covered with rider replacement, with no rider allowed to take more than one R/R ride. So, no guests, no doubling up, hats off to the sport’s hierarchy.
