The majority of Berwick fans don’t, you are making reference to about 4 or 5 people at best. Most Berwick fans actually applauded Cook re his guest performances a while back and paid to put money in his pocket when he guested for Berwick. His attitude to Berwick is strange, he comes across as a weirdo on social media who is overly sensitive to any kind of critical comment aimed his way.

I think Berwick will make it out of that group. -
Somerset Rebels Vs Berwick 05/09

Simota looks the best option if Berwick need a guest, 17 (including a tactical) at Somerset a couple of weeks ago. Wethers (I might be reading this wrong) If he isn’t 100% fit could Berwick use Wolbert as a guest? It might be a risk given some of his performances this year but one worth taking if Berwick faced Edinburgh or Newcastle away in the Play Offs. -

Rye House V Berwick Sunday 24th August

Racing more meetings at home than Berwick do at Rye and Edinburgh does come in handy though!. The table takes into account that high number of home meetings and that mixed bag of away meetings. Berwick have been good at more than just their home track this season, which has been a bonus! hence they are where they are in the league, if the season Berwick have had is a downside, great, bring it on. I will take a pumping at Rye House every year to be in the mix up come the end of season play offs. -

Berwick have had Number 1’s who have turned in scores like that at Rye and Edinburgh . You could make most teams look crap if you judged their season based on performances at the one or two tracks, the league table across a season tends to tell a better story. -

Downside of the team with strength and depth!! Berwick are more than likely going to hit a points total that would have seen them finish top of the league the last 2 seasons. The evening before R/R collected paid 19 across 2 meetings, if that is the downside I think I will take that. -

And you don’t think it is the same at Berwick... When Edinburgh riders spend the weeks before a meeting on Twitter referencing that the track is gate and go it is little wonder that they turn up.... they gate and they go.....riders of a more positive attitude tend to put on a better show, the Newcastle meeting last year being a perfect example of that. The need for Edinburgh riders and fans to convince everyone that Berwick offers little entertainment and Armadale is so wonderful is slightly odd, irespective of the thread it is written on, but I suppose that is just a Monarchs fan thing and always has been. -

Edinburgh v Working was turgid, absolutely rancid as a spectacle, zero entertainment and an utter dump of a stadium, how that looked to a possible newcomer god knows. If attracting the newcomers is a concern best to offer a few words of advice on an Edinburgh thread before spending so much time obsessing over Berwick. -

I enjoyed the meeting. Craig Cooks obsession with the Berwick track is very odd. You need to learn to ride them all and just get on with it if you want to be a world beater, plenty of other riders have managed to find ways to pass around Berwick. -

3 or 4 points a meeting from a Number 7 goes a long way, anything more would be a bonus. -
The conference league was cheap and there wasn’t as much to do back then, you are talking the best part of 20 years ago! When compared to now (not just at Berwick) the mid to late 90s was still a boom period for the sport in this country. Where have the crowds gone is a question that could be asked at any track in the UK sadly. You can look at every track, sides who win, sides who loose, tracks that are seen as entertaining and very few attract the crowds that they used to. A sustainable business model is something of a win for a speedway club just now.

Fair play to the first aid team, that is going to give him a hell of an advantage when it comes to a first bend cut back. -

Emm ok. Does anyone know the answer to the question? From what I can see it looks to be Edinburgh with 7 in 2010. From looking at Berwick’s away fixtures it looks like they might just fall short, none the less their form away from home this season is very impressive. -
