Nope, completely wrong

Nick Morris was guesting for Berwick. It took place just coming out the 4th bend. It was stupidity from Bunyan. Not quite as stupid as people on here spending as much time as they have talking about Jason fn Bunyan though
-
I can't say I have seen the sides who are going to be above the wooden spoon winning Berwick team. Plymouth, Newcastle, Rye, Workington, Redcar, Scunthorpe aren't what I would call strong sides, even Somerset and Sheffield are a bit suspect if Sissis isn't the sensation that was predicted and Lanham has the same struggles as last season.
-
Colin, you make a complete and utter twit of yourself when you post on here.
-
Can you write that again in English?
-
No I don't if I did I wouldn’t have asked. I was thinking of riders without a team place and he was one I thought of. If he does fit (which I assume from your post he does) he would be a very good signing. I have always enjoyed watching him, he would be a strong rider around Berwick, that would be a very good side actually.

Does Mathieu Tresarrieu fit?

Bellego

Iversen and Holder are just names to most new fans… I understand the idea of seeing EL riders….hey, I say this from experience as a Berwick fan….dont dwell on what mistakes you think the promotion are making though. Celebrate the things that they are getting right!
-
It might be the case for the diehards, but it is a new promotion trying to attract new fans and drag people back who haven’t been before. They are going to want to see a meeting where there is a bit of emotion and drama involved, talking points, races that matter. “Aye it was good on Sunday, we turned them over and the new Number 1 beat their Number 1”. It might happen another 19 times across the season but first impressions count.

An opener against Edinburgh, chance to take on the PL Champions with a strong 1-7 hotly tipped to have a big season….new era, stadium improvements etc….it is a bit of an open goal that one. A win/narrow defeat against Edinburgh will leave people wanting more, a dead rubber against Coventry probably wouldn’t.

Heeps, Rose, Wolbert, Worrall (Richie) are the obvious. Hall, Auty and Fisher also have a 1.00/1.5 in them.
-
They are two in the “could be” bracket, absolutely. I like Sargeant it will be interesting to see how he scores across the season. Alex was performing close to a 5.00 average (4.86 CMA) in meetings raced last season. (quite encouraging given that included visits to Newcastle, Rye and Edinburgh where he has, out with one meeting at Edinburgh been, and this is kind, awful). Fortunately his average didn’t change and he has been picked up on 3.84, in theory that could be a +1.00 add to the team total. If he was to end the season with a 5.00 average. That kind of average would have meant he was top scoring reserve in 8 PL sides at the end of last season. That gives you an idea of how marginal the gains from riders often are and what sort of ball park figure you are looking at for a high scoring reserve. I think that there is a slightly false positioning going on when Berwicks “reserve weakness” is being referenced. You would think that they were going to tapes with 2 riders who were going to be half a lap behind every race, when you look at other sides, I don’t think that is the case.
-
Other than Ipswich and Newcastle I don’t see strong reserves this year, Sheffield are a maybe. That is solely dependent on Sissis living up to his potential though. I wouldn’t be too concerned if Berwick had a bottom two of Edberg and Perry/Greaves, it would be no stronger or weaker than most sides in the league. Other than the two sides mentioned (and even then Newcastle only have Rose) I don’t see a team with reserves who will be dominant. Branford and Clegg Sarjeant and Palovaara Lambert and Greenwood Gravesen and Konopka Lunna and Perks Starke and Dilger I could take or leave them. A rider might break through from the pack and “do a Worrall” if not they are all just 3.00/5.00 riders IMO. I would say the same of Workington who some seem to fancy as a strong side, but even then, like Newcastle, the top end strength is lacking.

It's still wrong

I know

No they wouldn’t….

I know

Edberg’s average from the meetings he raced last season (18) was kicking on 5.00. if he can manage that over the course of a season, grand job.
-
Is this not what was said earlier? Things will change depending on his average....
-
I did there have been statements since........as I referenced in the post above If I read a statement saying Berwick have signed David Bellego from last year it doesn't mean he will ride for Berwick this year
-
That will be the sent two or three before the statements saying his average was to be clarified, thanks. I asked for the one confirming his average.
-
I will wait for official confirmation, thanks.

When was Allens average confirmed? I must have missed the press release?
