A Lakeside NL team next season is looking like even more of a possibility after last night's Kent v Arena Essex meeting: http://www.lakesidehammers.co/content/?p=8676 With Eastbourne likely to be in the NL, it would be a good move for the club to be drawing in crowds for the Kent / Eastbourne local derbies, as well as being a huge benefit for the Hagon / Lakeside academy and EL fast track system. I'm just not sure who to shout for if it does go ahead - I'm a lifelong Lakeside supporter and also a Kent regular! Haha

Fantastic meeting to end the Kings' season! Great racing, with Danny Ayres showing yet again why he's my Kent rider of the year. Hopefully we'll be seeing regular Kent v Lakeside meetings next season along with Eastbourne - although I still can't figure out who to cheer for as a lifelong Lakeside fan and Kent regular!

I expect so! I agree with others in that I was also expecting PL rather than NL, but they will be a great addition to the league and I'm just glad that speedway is likely to be continuing at Arlington.

Very good news! Both Kingston and Owen have impressed me when I've seen them this season, Kingston in particular, so they would be a good start if we do enter a NL team. Although as a lifelong Lakeside fan living in Kent who has also supported Kent Kings since they started ... who am I going to support next year? I don't think I'll be able to make it to all the meetings for all 3 teams as well as trying to visit a few other tracks each year!

I completely agree - I think we needed Benji back in the team but it's just a shame that Luke has to go. Hopefully we'll see him in Kings colours again soon!

Has anyone done the Lakeside / Hagon academy experience day? http://www.lakesidehammers.co/content/?page_id=6918 I'm thinking of doing it with a friend later this season. Neither of us have any motorcycle experience so this seems like a good place to start before possibly moving on to the Ride n Slide days.

Agreed! It'll be a tough first meeting for him but hopefully he can pick up a few points. We'll need him to if we're going to go to Stoke with some points in our pockets!

I was really impressed with his efforts on Monday - and the fall and remount was possibly one of the most stylish I have ever seen!

It's a shame about the number or riders missing tonight - I'm bringing a friend and originally thought it would be a good meeting for them to see. Fingers crossed there will still be some good racing.

I agree - it's definitely a good thing right now but it could be tricky once all the riders are fully fit!

Hopefully he'll have a better time there in the PL!

Looking forward to another Kent meeting this evening - hopefully fewer delays this time though. As Waco mentioned, we're really missing Benji. Hopefully we can get by until he's back on a bike!
