This evenings rain is due to arrive in the Ipswich area around 7pm, this is projected rainfall at low resolution.... Is it accurate, yes sometimes, but the margins for error/metrological changes is also a factor.... All it would need for this to be inaccurate is a smallish wind change/pressure change and it may not arrive until 9pm or later........ This is a difficult one to call, might rain, might rain later than modelled... Who'd be a Weather Forecaster!!!!!! PS Poole look like escaping the rain until much later than originally modelled so should be ok.... -

Rain warning issued by Met Office for South East corner of UK now for this afternoon/early evening, Poole is outside of the warning area, may get away with it after all now.... -

Will he, won't he? Could be irrelevant as the weather tonight could put the mockers on both Poole and Ipswich as a band of very heavy rain crosses the channel bringing with it squally winds/embedded frontal thunderstorms... Still quite a bit of uncertainty on its exact arrival time and there's a chance it could only graze Poole, and hit Ipswich a tad later than expected, and both run..... It will be a lot clearer on this around 3/4pm -
Swindon - Leicester Now June 5th
Shale Searcher replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Think the weather will win this one....... Awful forecast for Thursday, persistent and heavy rain, with embedded thunderstorms on the cold front are possible. There's just a possibility the worst of it may track up the eastern side of the Country, rather than slap up the middle, if so, might just get away with just a wet morning and then isolated afternoon/evening shower/s...... -

A couple of questions peeps...... How many meetings (the team) have ridden at home this season? And what's up with the track? Track needed balding? Wasn't yesterday a perfect Speedway day weather wise? -

Ashley Burks and Josh Auty have ridden EL before and should not of been included in the draft... Also, what was/is the qualifying criteria for the draft? Age or time in Speedway, if a 30 year old took up Speedway tomorrow and got a place in the national league for the rest of this season, could he also become a rider on the draft list.....? -

Artem Laguta, possibly... -
I am really glad I am not a national league no hoper, how disrespectful to young British Riders coming into the sport, don't you think that statement about them is not only grossly unfair, it's sheer nastiness..

Where's he been all season so far? -
Kings Lynn last night was a borefest, no real passing after first three quarters of a lap... Just looked slick as a board.. no shale on the track for riders to use to attack, especially on the outside, the riders with the quicker bikes and gating skills had a huge advantage.... In my opinion.

King's Lynn V Swindon 14/05/14 Sky Meeting
Shale Searcher replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As a neutral watching, what happened to the racing, or lack of it last night? Some very strung out races, very few passes after the first three quarters of a lap... Track looked slick as a board on the tv. Bet PK said thanks to Scotty Nicholls for not running over him, class bit of laying down, could have been nasty if Scotty had ploughed into PK's back..
