At least we get most meetings on, you can count up postponements at Leicester on your hands for the last 3-4 seasons, so supporters can usually travel to Leicester in confidence that the meeting will be on! And, the racing is improving, as more banking has been gradually added, and the track has risen 2-3 inches it now produces more racing lines, and you can blade a decent amount off without fear of damaging the base..... Overall, the whole product has improved..

Cannot see anything to say it was a full transfer. Maybe it's just another 1 year loan-out deal from Swindon ...

Confirmed signings now saying Simon Stead has put pen to paper with Belle Vue Aces... Oh well, good look to you Simon, hope he has another great season and stays injury free... :-(

Yes, top bloke, badly injured in a freak accident, "Zednek Kundra" did a practice start behind him and lost control and wheelied into the back of Gramstad. Broken neck/back left Rolf paralysed...... I think he would have gone into the World finals if this tragedy had never happened.....
-
Wouldn't want him either! When was the last time he completed a full season in the UK EL? He is another one that uses our EL as a place to practice when the Euro hasn't started or Just finished, and always misses EL meets when poorly, but still manages to drag himself from his sick bed to ride Poland etc.. THJ? No thanks...

This is all relative as well.. Do you think that the Premier League is now the strongest it's ever been? Is it to strong? I guess this is the met result of no promotion/relegation.. The Premier League is not a bona fida Division 2, can't really remember the last time it was. Promotion and relegation is a form of natural selection, you have a strong top division, and much weaker lower divisions, but with Speedway, at the end of the season, teams virtually choose which division to ply there trade in, successful teams are broken up, but not redistributed to the lesser teams in the league because they can't afford the top dollar riders, and some are lost to the EL for the next season because they can't ride for the top team that next season because of the team building restrictions... So the top league haemorrhages quality virtually year on year, meanwhile, the PL carries on regardless.... One thing that needs to stop is always weakening the product to the lowest denominator, sure fire way to disaster.. But I don't know what a painless solution to this problem would be..... Discuss. -
Krzysztof Kasperzak was radared at Leicester at an astonishing 74mph on the back straight during the summer...

In Blackbird Road days, there were 4 rakers each end, and we had other duties then, red flags were ONLY used in daytime meetings, we also had to try and remove riderless machines from the track DURING the racing, remove helmet colours during the racing, chain guards, chains, steel shoes, and anything else that fell off during the racing, now, we are NOT allowed on to the track once the green light has come on and not go on it untill the chequered flag has dropped and riders speed reduced to helmetless parade speed... Health and safelty and all that. Although I did venture on to the track this season during a race, coming out the second turn to safely retrieve a riderless steel shoe that had lodged in some deep dirt and on the racing line, I did it quickly and was never in any danger, the steel shoe could have caused serious injury to any number of riders, officials and spectators had it been spat out by a high revving rear wheel!! Also, we are NOT allowed to take loose dirt back onto the racing line now, the riders don't want it there, it causes sudden loss of traction as the wheels skate over it like F1 tyre marbles.... Anyway, that's for another thread .........!! -

Not all GP tracks are large, flat-out tracks like Bygdzoscz, riding Lakeside, Eastbourne, Belle Vue sure help to hone your skills at turning hard, and frequently like at GPS on the indoor arenas, like Cardiff and the other man made temporary tracks!! -
Elite Riders Wishing To Go Premier

Really? Dropped down, don't you mean never really made it into the EL proper? Surely , you cannot count Some of those, they signed for EL teams, then got loaned out in their early years... Or dropped down at the hind end of there careers, only to he lured back to the EL in reserve or 2nd string.... Not in their prime, using the PL as easy money cash cows..... I meant to add, the likes of Screen and co did sterling work in the EL league, and then dropped down when they could no longer cut it as heat leaders or get lucrative overseas deals...... I personally don't mind seeing the Mature, riders in the PL, they can pass immense experience and advice to the younger lads in that league... -

Is it wrong to drop down though, some do it some don't ever...... Name 7 EL Brits and 7 non Brits that have done this in the last 7 years................? Drop down to PL I mean...... -
Think Max will find it tough in the PL, he will have a fair few tougher rides, and be bullied all the way round, not just first 30 yards... He will have to toughen up and perhaps work on his upper body strength between now and the start of the 2015 seasons......

VERY!!!! And I still do do it now, + a raft of other race day jobs, and still thoroughly enjoy being damn close to the racing!!! (No remuneration these days!!) AKA No BFH! -
They used to say bad publicity is better than no publicity, not so sure that's the case with young Darcy, still don't believe he would have been totally leathered though.... Just a case of one to many the night before, which in itself was a bad decision, and he's madea lifetimes worth already, so...... Perhaps this will sort him out for good......
