Sun now out in Leicester, the rain band is breaking up as it rises over the welsh hills and then hits slightly higher pressure.... What was a solid band of rain is now and will continue to fragment, really lucky people could miss the rain now altogether..... Or get soaked! Perhaps Cov will get the happy medium!! -

Kings Lynn would be ok tomorrow evening? A lot depends on how quickly the low to the north spins out to sea , if it is hampered by the higher pressure to the south east, the big rain could hold off until after dark tomorrow evening for Cov.... -
Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?

Ridiculous statement!! Only 2 and a half rounds completed!!! -
I have had a real close encounter with the Gehard GTR engine, it's massively different from a GM and a Jawa, the shape of the exterior is very triangular, it only has very precise yet shallow finning, and the machining after casting is ultra fine, it looks heavier, alot heavier, but it weighs no more than a GM or Jawa.... If it reminded me of any current or prior engine, imagine the old upright 4 valve Jawa? But in a laydown configuration... That's the nearest I can visualise. This could be the breakthrough in bringing down the annual costs of competing in speedway at all levels if the testing and amount of servicing, part replacement, oil changing without loss of performance are true........

Well, first the weather.... At the moment it is set pretty fair for Saturday, sunny intervals, odd cloudy moment, no rain to speak of in Saturday's forecast for Leicester.. max temp around 15c, be around 13c for meeting duration, wind will be mainly calm, the odd breezy moment.. so no problems there.. 😃 The teams...... Anyone able to insert the Leicester team for this meeting, and/or the Wolves likely line-up then please feel free to add away!!

Shouldn't have been all 4 back, shouldn't have been unsatisfactory start or 4th bend bunching!! I was on the inside, Doyle went down in a controlled fashion, he had ran out of room... Janowski was in front at the point of Doyle's get off, no way should Janowski have been excluded, it would of been harsh to exclude Doyle, if the ref had gone by the letter of the law, Doyle should probably have gone.... ref took the least controversial route..... -

I agree flagrag, good riders options that are free and able to commit to a UK EL programme are few and far between.. If you have a gander around the Cov v KL, and the Wolves v Lakeside threads it's been a complete nightmare with regards to teams having full strength 1-7's Wolves had Baby Bjerre guesting as a 3rd heat leader, and Lakeside, well they were worse off than us!!!!!!!! The current schedule of European speedway, with riders riding in multiple Countries, for multiple teams is nigh on unsustainable, with the liklehood of riders getting injured meaning 3 clubs being then short of a rider! Something has to change, and quick, quite what I don't know... Could the powers that be limit riders to a maximum of representing 2 clubs? In any country, so once you'd signed for say Stal Gorzow and say Leicester, that would be that? If you then wanted to ride for Smederna, you would have to drop one of the others...? (Reduce the overall amount of meetings ridden to reduce the chance of injury/burnout) or would we then be short of quality riders to go around in all countries? -

To be fair, I have ridden BP, and even at my speed/level, the sun does temporarily blind you.. If it was the same level of brightness in your vision, all the way round, you could perhaps cater for it with tinted visors, but it's not and it goes from virtual shade to intense dazzle, and back to shade in less than a second, and it temporarily blinds You on that bend 3 & 4... And it started as a problem higher up in the sky this afternoon/evening because it was so dull to start with, if it had been a typical summer day, with cloudless skys, the change in brightness would have been less drastic.. But even a "sun shield" would need to be 100 feet high on days like today! Once the longest day passes, it becomes less of a problem, but until then we're pretty much stuffed! -

No they are not, just don't have enough home riders to guarantee an announcement...... Blimey, with riders jetsetting around Europe, injuries occurring near enough every night, announcing a 1-7 must be the hardest task in league speedway these days... Did any riders get injured in Poland yesterday? Is Janowski lining up for Poole, or did he aggravate his knee....? Is it as bad as announcing top riders and then not delivering, I don't know... You could announce 7 on Friday, and only have 3/4 of them fit come Monday!!!It can't be easy..... Are their any unattached riders registered with the BSPA? Perhaps a small pool of riders that want a way into the British speedway EL could be on some sort of reserve list, perhaps riders who don't want to or can't commit to a full team place and be available to guest for anyone, average permitting..... Don't know if that would/could work... Just popped over the the Cov v KL thread, KL's team decimated overnight due to crashes in Poland yesterday..... Rory out, Kenneth out, so much for announcing your team. Hope Rory is ok, sound a bad un, hope op goes well. He's loyal to UK speedway, I would of hoped the op went well loyal or not. speedy recovery Rory.. -

I stand corrected, the source has apologised for this miss-information... Magic is riding at Leicester tomorrow, the source has been truly shot!!!! I think she had missread a post on another dated thread. Sorry for the erronious info.. SS -

Funny how Janowski is NOT fit to ride at Leicester tomorrow though... This cherry picking meetings when clearly not in plastercast has to be stopped, if only to stop Clubs taking advantage, and robbing fans of seeing the top riders, how many more fans will not now go to that meeting at Leicester because the added draw of another GP star has been negated.....?? -

You know, you put 16 of the best riders in the world (allegedly) on a reasonable track and that is what you get.. I thought their was some terrific racing, if you looked for the riders fighting for the minor race points.... Do we expect to much sometimes? I am not saying the first 2 were acceptable, they were miles off, but that was A good meeting I thought tonight..... -

Looking at the photo on twitter, going into the first bend, is there a slight falling away to the fence? A slightly off camber area? -

Enlighten us with your weather forecast.... As it is going to be partly overcast, less than 10% chance of a shower and around 12c at meeting time, will be a bit breezy possibly.... -
Yes and no, they are an indicator of in my opinion track condition.... you cannot fly around a bump and rut infested or under-watered dust fest or on over-watered slop.... So track conditions play a part, in my opinion...
