  1. Can more than one rider end up off 15 metres in the same race? For example, ht 2, blue gets exc for tapes, goes off 15 metres, in the restaging, white touches tapes, gets exc and also has to go off 15 metres and then yellow/black touches tapes and also gets to go off 15 metres..... Is this possible, and has it ever happened in any British League???
  2. Darcy Ward mentioned only 5 times tonight, and two of the times, only referred to as Ward, so not that bad considering he wasn't in the meeting!!! And yes, I was counting!!!
  3. Rain in the forecast for Wednesday, still uncertain it's severity and duration over east coast area...... update tomorrow morning..
  4. Hmmm, showers on and off morning, drier brighter this afternoon, but could catch a thundery effort if sun gets out for any length of time this late afternoon/evening, bit windy as well....
  5. Another "double weekend" of GP's, is this a good thing to have GP's on consecutive weekends? Doesn't give riders much time to shake off bruises/strains/dislocations, whereas a fortnight can be enough...........
  6. Myth, supposition, not true.... every time I register a Polish person for temporary work in Leicester, I always ask which team they support, it's about the same ratio of people that even know what speedway is!! Don't forget, Poland is a very large Country..... The ones I see are surprised at what I say about Poles and speedway...
  7. Ok, what's the latest news on Simon Stead? Season over obviously, but how's he mending?
  8. Ok, does the user have the ability to choose the quality of a stream? I can choose the quality of stream with the method I use now, so watching a full length GP uses less than 800gb, less than 1gig and are the video sizes displayed before playing? Sorry for all my questions, but I have used some useless stuff in the past....
  9. Can you download videos on wi fi, and then watch later?
  10. Hi, I have an Android phone, HTC One M7, what could this do for me? I do not have home broadband, only mobile internet on my mobile ..... is it a data muncher?
  11. What is a "BAR" engine?? Or is it a GM or JRM and tuned/nodded by "BAR"??
  12. What about the good old Walford Lions!!!!!
  13. Yes, but haven't other motor sports tried to reduce overall top speed? Didn't F1 reinvent itself to an extent when it introduced the by hybrid engines, wasn't the intention to lop 10-15mph off the top speed?
  14. What about a "Fans Power Boost"!! Fans vote and the rider with the highest number of votes achieved gets to use nitro from the gate!!
  15. What I mean is, have speedway bikes got as fast as they ever can be, have we reached the tipping point? Can they go any faster than they are already going..? Should tuners now be trying to get a better spread of power, to not go faster, but work better at cornering, being able to handle deeper, wetter bends and leave top end speed where it is......
  16. The sun is forecast to be at best hazy this afternoon/evening.. so it should not cause any problems...
  17. Back on topic.. Great win for the Lions against the Aces last night, impressed with Scotty, once he'd sussed out the right lines, and his aggression when duelling with Doyley in the latter stages... Hard, but fair in my opinion....
  18. Was waiting for that remark to surface!!!!😃
  19. "Russian roulette with the riders" "Heat 10" The "heat 10 to get a result" rule has to be got rid of after this season, it's being used in the wrong way and its detrimental to the sport... If you've had 10 races and a huge thunderstorm arrives and washes the track away after heat 10, then ok, the ref can call it.. But, it should not be used as a shortened form of the meeting....... All meetings should go to ht 15, unless there's an armageddon storm. Calling meetings off in the bygone days wasn't such an issue because usually most of the riders were UK based, weather forecasting was not looked at like it is now... If it rained, generally meetings were called off at the start time! Nobody went off in a complete huff! It was part of the sport, just look at fixture lists off old programmes.. The heat 6 rule was worse for fans as no re-admittance was given free if that heat was even started! We need a modified heat 6 rule... with reduced admission after a heat 6 or later abandonment, and full readmission before heat 6.. Rearranged fixtures were easier to fit in, in pre 90's speedway, riders did not jet set around Europe like they do now, and worse case scenario was a "double header" should this meeting have started, yes.. should it have ended the way it did, no. Abandoned earlier when it was obvious the conditions were not going to improve, or run to its heat 15 conclusion. In my opinion, meetings get called off far to early and with such ease, every effort should be made to run meetings...
