  1. It may of been decided yesterday? That would be the mandatory 48 hours notice? Kings Lynn affected by different weather system, their weather is controlled by a Scandinavian blocking high pressure and should be mostly dry Wednesday..
  2. Should be ok with the weather....... Early rain, breaking to thundery shower possibly early/mid afternoon then clear from teatime onwards....
  3. Another 2 weeks'ish between Poole v Swindon and Belle Vue v Wolves.... Why are there so many gaps this year? Has anyone counted up this season's tv meetings against last year's? Feels like loads less...........
  4. Just tried that, keep getting bombed out for some reason, can get on Tue wolves v Lions, but not Aces v Robins...... #frustrated..
  5. Can we get back on the speedway please, what's happened now? Who won?
  6. The weight of the air fence, even just the weight of the material would keep this layer in place I think, the rider would slide into this rather than the mesh/kickboard/concrete/steel/wood behind, say a layer of foam approx 8/10inches, and not quite as wide as the airbag.. I think natural forces and the weight of the airbag (even if lifted would offer considerable protection to the rider......
  7. Dad, first meeting, although moving to a house around 700 yards from the stadium was probably the catalyst!! I was around 6, maybe 7 years old, the year was 1970 or 1971... The stadium was Blackbird Road, Leicester.. Originally thought it would be dogs on bikes, as the first visit was for a dogs meeting!!!!
  8. Bees website says meeting postponed.. 💧💦💧💦💧💦💧💦💦💧💧💦💦💧 💦💧💦💧💦💧💦💧💦💧💧⚡💧💦 ........🚜.....
  9. I did say on Monday that this weather event would spare Kings Lynn tonight, the only caveat, is if you have an hour or two of late sunshine, that's all that will be needed to break the convective cap and you could get a couple of thunderstorms with there convective heavy rain..... No sun and you could well be ok....
  10. Regarding Thursday's weather.... What we have is a low pressure system moving up over parts of the UK, it's a very warm, muggy, damp low pressure and will bring with it a lot of rain, and electrical activity (thunderstorms) Now, the route this will take as it judders it's way up is a very fluidic scenario..... 50 miles more to the east and Kings Lynn will be off, but if it tracks the predicted path, Kings Lynn will be ok until around the early hours of Friday Morning....... In my opinion.
  11. Ok, as a neutral, if fans go for good racing over a dominant winning team, why oh why are Scunthorpe "on the brink" of not running next season due to poor home crowds? This is a genuine question, looking for genuine answers/theories as to why this is the situation.......
  12. No, but how about a soft forgiving layer under the air fence, and not attached to the air bags......
  13. always cutting costs, never improving the product and gate, that's why we are where we are amongst some other factors.. Except, it's been cut down to the bone, crowds are down to the bone, it can't go any further..
  14. There are still the haves and have nots in British Speedway, Poole being at the top of the pile in terms of crowd levels and general running... Why is this, and why can't other clubs try and emulate them instead of criticising them....? I am not a Poole fan, or hater....
  15. Heard some triffic modern music from Horsens in the background, Elvis and Boney M!!! Perhaps it's mandatory to play 30+ year old music at speedway meetings wherever in the World they are!!!!
