For instance,any club can only have, say 9 Riders as assets.. Is it dangerous for clubs to have more assets than team places available? When you hit 9 riders as assets, if you then want to buy another rider, you have to release one (sell one) Just want people's thoughts on the subject..

Everyone wait until the European Leagues start up, then it will be Guest City, Rider Replacement Road, as the mediocre Europeans drop there BEL teams for the pots of fools gold available in Europe.. Where do we find an independant body of people to run/police our sport? Without ending up with someone who does have an ulterior motive?

I think the poster was talking about the status as friends/team mates after the Tungate Gate issue, (Tungate deliberately fencing Auty after race had finished) on the slow down lap in the Scunthorpe v Ipswich fixture last season.. Don't think they are on each other's Christmas card list..

He also crashes a lot when out on the track on his own (in race situations) Still very young though and pain does eventually calm you down...

If we didn't have an out and out number 1, but had strength in depth and top reserves, that could be successful with the make-up of the league this year.. Winning the 2 reserves races 5-1 gives you an 8 point advantage, and if you can fill in the minor places more often than not, you shouldn't lose that many matches.. In my opinion.

KK has signed for the Bees, are their any riders left of EL heat leader ilk left? Larsen maybe, Batch? Shlein? R Lambert? Struggling to think of any that actually want to do EL League, Shlein and Lambert I would imagine are KL bound..

Not quite correct, the reserve at no 6, he will be eligible to be moved into the 1-5 if averages allow, but its not, as far as I can see a compulsory move and he is allowed to stay at no 6 if it suits the team... The FTDR at no 7, stays at no 7 all season.... This is I think correct, if I have read and understood the regs correctly.

Anomaly time...... With Scunthorpes perfect track, week in, week out, how come they struggle to fill the Eddie Wright Raceway on race days? You'd think it would be packed to the rafters!! But it's not, why not?

That's just darned rude people!! Yes not thick/stupid, but doesn't realise that supermarkets have a lot of clout when building! No money issues, contractors probably falling over themselves to get a piece of the pie, can't see that happening in the world of building speedway stadia, money must be the biggest build issue once planning sorted.... Edited due to predictive text being a dumb arse!!!!

Would advertising on tv be any good? You know, like a proper advert... What would it cost for a small 30-45 second advert....? Anyone know if it's ever been tried?

As far as rakers raking shale off and around the kickboards, and "flinging" it into the tractors path to then be graded into the areas of the track where the bikes rear wheels need it is not done at some EL tracks at the request of the riders! Reasons given for this by riders differ, the most bizarre being "I don't like seeing parrallel lines running from the fence to the camber as it puts me off" If this shale is not raked back, it makes the shale near the fence "say 2 metres from a point half a metre from the fence, pretty unusable, as you go from the slick to 4 inches deep!! There needs to be some manual grading to keep the shale where it's usable, tractors can not accomplish this all of the time...

Speedways decline seems to mirror the decline of professional wrestling in the UK! Still exists, but not like it was in the 50's 60's and 70's.....

I think it's the constant dilution of the teams, the premise being to level the playing field to keep the league table and racing closer together, unfortunately, it's always levelled downwards, to the lowest denominator, and that has helped destroy the speedway in this Country. Only one club seems to rise out of the levelled mediocrity, and that's Poole, ok, they twist and bend rules to breaking point to do it, but what's stopping other teams planning similarly? Ok, cash I suppose, but that boils down to going out and getting it (Sponsors) instead of keeping ones head below the parapets and doing nothing...... Just an opinion.

Totally agree with you Phil, reducing the strength of the strongest team, year after year to the weakest team in the league has consequences, that are now rooted into Speedway in the UK. Teams should be encouraged to improve and build to the strongest team in the league, even if it takes multiple seasons to do so. Thats one of the reasons we are where we are now.... In my opinion..

Who is Passion racing for at the moment? And what average would he go into the team at? wink, wink!!!😃
