But the trackman would be there on raceday, and the owners, so that's 3 or 4 people, or are the owners exempt from a bit of hard work.... I reckon 4 people, 2 hours to put down, 6 to 8 people to take it up in less than 2 hours... Speedway at all levels relies to much on volunteers, can you imagine a bloke running a business, and making money, and not paying its staff! Oh...........

Who was driving the blade? Surely it would have been Chapman in that case?? -

Perhaps they thought the vintage? Bikes would clear a line or two.... Who's the trackman now? If it not CM...? -

A blade should be nowhere near a track at that time... (Unless you've had a downpour after 6.30pm) Should have been on the track as soon as the rain stopped... -

Rain should be stopping in around an hour.... So (16:30) Manchester time.....! -
You lot, sometimes I wonder..... Wether or not clubs can afford them at the moment is not important. The track cover debate is years old!!!! If tracks had invested in them say 10 years ago, with money earned through say "Sky" how many more of "todays" could of been saved....? Say 2 meetings a season per club? + may not have lost fans who are/were fed up of rain offs when the weather is fine cum race time... + Skybet may still have been involved as league sponsor.. + meetings ran in poor conditions, May have gone ahead with good conditions. + money promotors paid out to riders/officials for travel expenses on rain offs It was a hypothetical question, and it wouldn't have done any harm to speedway, would it...

That plan could backfire, as the only time to see GP riders would be on the Saturday night!! They may only then attend the further watered down league on GP off nights!!!!! Rock/Hard place.... Doesn't seem to be much middle ground at all..

The thing is, Belle Vue is not protected at the moment, but their track can handle copious amounts of the wet stuff..... This weather-proofness, may deteriorate with age though as drains become clogged, and less efficient. Regular rodding and other remedial work will need to be done to the drainage system ongoing...... The covers will help as less clay will get washed out the track and down the drains.....

Robobee, Jason Doyle's first yr in the GP's whilst at Leicester, we planned our home fixtures around the GP nights, and our night is GP night, your meetings at home are mainly Friday night's which is official practise day for the GP's, so I don't see why you could not do a similar thing?? Can you think why Cov couldn't do something similar for KK?

A fair question... Perhaps Neil Watson can respond and let us know what has changed since he posted the optimistic message saying the track had been prepped for rain and would go ahead this evening? Not having a go, or criticising, just interested in the timeline to being called off..... Thanks in advance Neil..

So Who Is Going To Win The El In 2016?
Shale Searcher replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
When Sky first came out, installers were making hay, but as sky dishes became more popular, there were less people to sell it to, Inc a number of the population that didn't want sky, consequently, New installs slowed down, I would hazard a guess that is what happened with Swedish speedway.. less people left to get into speedway Then when HD came out, there was another spike in new installs, I think Swedish speedway reached a set point, and it will fluctuate from here on in, lose a few/gain a few moving forward.. -

Don't understand the "quote" on BSF, never turns out right when I try!! -
That's a really good question.... If he doesn't line up for Wolves, will they get a replacement facility?? It's not GP night, or Practise night, so I'm not sure....?

[quote name="Danny Smith" post="2832222" timestamp="1471554698" Slick and dusty The weather forecast for today had no rain in it for much if not all of England, especially dry and warm near east coast, so why slick and dusty? Thats not a track type created for a Kings Lynn side by request? -
