  1. I asked for a list of sky meetings broadcast this season, either nobody knows, or don't want to post it as it will be extremely bias towards a couple of teams....
  2. Ok Mr S.S, maybe it was a bit of a mardy statement to make! Is there a list of all the Sky meetings shown this season? Don't remember seeing Kings Lynn or Leicester very often this season..
  3. Thats easy enough...... Ban anyone under the age of 21 from attending speedway.. Teens love doing/going to stuff they aren't allowed to do/go to...
  4. Yes, nobody seems to want to come forward with any info on the Gerhards running/servicing costs, especially at GP level... It might well be cheap as chips at Premier League, even Elite League level, but at GP/Poland level, who knows....
  5. It wasn't very lucrative, unless you were Poole....
  6. Crash: Freddie Lindgrens fault, Bomber went into/under the aifence on turn 3, pretty much at the same pace/angle as Doyle, Bomber had a bit of good luck, Doyle didn't.. Disgraceful decision to exclude Bomber, Lindgren should have been thrown out the race... A 2 part airfence might be a way forward, when bikes impact the fence, the initial contact always seems around midway up, and the fence buckles with the top and bottom folding over leaving the base of whatever is behind exposed... If it was a 2 part fence, maybe in a third at the bottom and 2 thirds above, the bottom third would pretty much be un-deformed by bike impacts and still be there for the rider/s to hit... Pity you can't easily do image posting, this would 've easier to understand....
  7. Personally, I don't like Doyle, but I don't like to see any rider/s get injured.. so I wish him a speedy recovery..
  8. I think some testing needs doing with airfences and how best to secure them down... I reckon that it would be best to have a 2 level airfence.. one layer say 15 inches high on the bottom, and the rest of the airfence sits on that, most airbags seem to lift from front wheel impacts, around half way up, if that happens, the base layer of the air fence remains grounded and collects the rider/s.... What do you think peeps??
  9. Weather Forecast For Race Day (10:30 update) It will remain mostly dry today, intermittent cloud/sunny breaks, I anticipate light rain starting around 5pm, which will be mostly light, and patchy, clearing around 8pm, racetime temps hovering around 17c/18c... So, a better race weather outlook than I forecast earlier in the week..
  10. Weather forecast for Torun, not the best.... Well, from 5pm to 11pm anyway. Temps around 18c, showers getting heavy around 7pm 8pm, then getting lighter until clearing around 11pm....
  11. Yes, it did help, tremendously.. It's odd because it's a vegetable based oil, not produced from that nasty black stuff, that goes into car/lorry engines....
  12. Yes, it did help, tremendously.. It's odd because it's a vegetable based oil, not produced from that nasty black stuff, that goes into car/lorry engines.... Don't see why it would harm the environment, get some down, use a crop sprayer, wonder wheel it in, all speedway in the UKs problems will be solved!!
  13. I ride in Ian Gutteridge Kevlars, has RAINMAN on them.... Rather appropriate I think!!
  14. If its only one rider to be under XX and British, you can't have protected heats, unless you mean he/they/she cannot be withdrawn from those/that race, because there are 4 riders per race, to make it totally protected, it means riding against the same quality of opposition, which means 2 riders from both teams.. Also, the riders drafted/signed/assigned can either stay at #6 and #7 all season, or possibly, if there average rises, can be promoted up to 2nd string, I.E #4 or #2, they are forbidden from rising into a heat leader role, I.E #1, #3 or #5. A protected rider, I.E #6 and #7 can only miss a ride during the meeting, if certified medically unfit to ride by the official Doctor or official Paramedic, if both present, whichever is senior in a medical capacity. Or #6 and #7 can be excluded, but not replaced by any other rider than the #6 or #7, if both #6 & #7 are both in the race, then the excluded #6 or "7 must go off 15m handicap. Both #6 and #7 must complete if fit, and not medically withdrawn by the official Doctor of Paramedic, take a minimum of 4 rides, and a maximum of 6 rides, unless the team has lost to medical grounds a number #1, #2, #3, #4 or #5, where by one or both #6 and #7 can take a 7th ride.. That's the reserves sorted....
  15. Will Belle Vue still get their cut of sky dosh, now it's been reduced to a few recorded highlights being shown when Sky can fit them in if Wolves v Poole is a borefest!!!
  16. That is simply not true!!!!!!!! I have Beean a member of a popular weather forum for 3 years, never an argument like you get on here with posters getting banned, reinstated, and then banned again within hours! Proper discussion, with pictorial posting as well, oh, sorry, forgot this is a speedway forum, so penny pinching and saving bandwidth!! Hmmmmmm, where haveci heard that before I wonder!!
  17. Just to get back to reality....... What time did the rain stop in Wolverhampton this afternoon? Was the track really unfit for racing? Or, was this Wolverhampton retaliating to the Poole Tungate for Pedalbike switch, thinking.. fook it, we'll call it off and scupper that!! Now it's Wednesday, Pedalbike will be back, and Wolverhampton bring in Bomber, who's usually the Play Off hero!! Sounds plausible.......?
  18. I would agree with that, unless the club hiring the guest agreed some sort of retaining payment upfront, say... Hi Bomber, we want you to guest for us on Monday for us "Caerphilly Clueless" against "Wainfleet Wanderers" however, if it's called off due to heavy grass cuttings, then we would like to book you for the restaging date on Wednesday, here is £2,000 to secure your services for the Wednesday, deal? Thanks Caerphilly, yes I will commit to Wednesday, just in case it's grass cuttind off. That could happen I suppose... But if the Wainfleet Wanderers approached Bomber and said, look Bomber, if it's grass cuttind off, we want you Wednesday, here is £2,000 to give back to Caerphilly and here is £4,000 just to commit to us Wednesday!! Bomber very happy, no rules broken, just ethically wrong, and Caerphilly probably wouldn't ask him to guest again!!!!
  19. If Harris, Tungate, King or any other guest were to ride in the P/O Final, for Poole say, do they get medals? And on the other foot, does Hansi get a medal, and what about Laidback Lindback? Would he get a medal....?
  20. The age of the "Tactical Rain-Off" Now it's Wolves who have pulled a fast one!!!!!
  21. Precisely that!!! Or if the throttle jammed open on the warm down lap and he was popping a wheelie, or whatever, the cut outs cut the electrical circuit and kill the engine, protecting trackstaff, medics, start line staff, photographers, and anyone else on the centre green... You ever been chased by a "riderless" machine with no cut out working, I can assure it's no fun!!!!!
  22. I have ridden at Stoke in an amateur championship fixture, it wasn't raining, but filthy wet track, got filled in halfway round turn one, couldn't see a thing till I came out the corner and was able to rip a tear off off!! And we were nowhere near at the speed the pros go.. having said that, a better positioned head, and I would have avoided a lot of the roost getting to my goggles!!!! And yes, I was on a laydown Jawa 500... Last time was 2012 at Stoke.... Gary O'Hare didn't want to race because it was so wet!! Can't say I blamed him!!
  23. That's totally unfair, best give Poole a 20 point start in the final, and 2 home legs, with extra heats available in the second leg, should they be behind, just in case!!!
