  1. So, that means losing Zagar and Frocks, promote the 2 second strings to those positions, EDR'S move to second strings and have 1 New young British (under 21) and one under 21 foreigner!!
  2. The Titanium ban was lifted by the FIM, but I suppose the BSPA/SCB could have still kept the ban in place for League stuff, but, that would be incredibly difficult to monitor/police at meeting level.... There's only so much machine examiners can do without taking apart engines on race nights...
  3. I can't lay my hands on an old Wolves prog at the moment either...! Never around when you really need one!
  4. I'm not convinced it's all tikketyboo over in Poland, either... Team running costs are astronomical compared to UK... I know crowds a big (compared to UK) but so are rider wages... Wouldn't take a lot to destabilize the Polish set-up..
  5. Bwitcher, do you know track dimensions before/after alterations, lengths/widths....?
  6. What? You mean you've heard them call some of the crowd "IDIOTS" in a live TV interview? Who, when, where? Because I haven't.. This is my only gripe, the LIVE TV interview, the rest was banter, high jinx, verbals and gestures... The TV interview was my gripe...
  7. It's a right old mess, isn't it..... Fans want more meetings, riders want less meetings!! So, if we went with 9 teams, ride each twice, giving 32 basic league fixtures, who are we saying will drop the UK...? Tai Woffinden Chris Holder Freddie Lindgren Jason Doyle Andreas Jonsson Apart from Jason Doyle, the other GP riders above have already missed seasons in the UK citing crowded fixtures as the reason... We managed then, we will manage now.. Don't forget, if Poland have their way, the decision of the above riders to ride here, will be out of our hands..... It's a difficult one. Isn't it..!!!

  9. I know? Where have I said less meetings? I only think that there are a couple of teams that won't take to the track in the top division, I still want a minimum of 10 teams in the top league, which will give more meetings, and more variety..... Ahhh, I see, currently they ride each other twice at home, twice away, giving 28 meetings.... Apologies, but I still think we need an expanded top division, so how about 9 teams racing each other twice, that will then give 32 fixtures, 4 more than now....
  10. Me neither (Lions in the top division) But, I would like to see an expanded top division.. Say 10 teams, ride each other once home, once away.. That would give 18 league fixtures, and then the Play offs, same format as now (top 4 teams) that would add minimum 2 fixtures to 20. I would also like to see the bottom 6 club's compete for something, perhaps with the top 2 from the 2nd division/Premier League or whatever it get called next yr.. don't quite know how, or what the reward would be for this, but I would be quite interesting... 8 team quarter finals, 4 team semi finals and then a final....
  11. I'm not bothered with the on track banter and posturing, adds to the atmosphere.... Brings back memories of my early memories of speedway.... It's purely what he said in the LIVE TV interview... Calling some fans "IDIOTS" that's my problem, and probably everyone else's.. You can't do/say that in a LIVE TV interview!! "IDIOTGATE" Has it been edited out on the SKY TV reruns? Can anyone confirm?
  12. Wasn't Monmore Green shortened in the mid 90's? Didn't they bring the fence in around a metre, and the kerb in around a metre... I'm sure it was, and the reason/s were to do with the lighting pylons being to close the the track? Cheaper to do that, than relocate all the floodlights pylons.....? I'm sure that prior to the alterations Monmore Green was a better, fairer race circuit.. Can someone clarify please? Is there anywhere on the interweb, where there's to scale, simple kerb and fence lined diagrams of all Elite/Premier tracks from above, and the other NL league tracks that are stand alone tracks (not shared with EL/PL) and possibly the non-league tracks??
  13. I'm sure I heard somewhere that GM were producing a new engine, with similar reliability characteristics and costs as the GTR? So it would make sense for JAWA to follow suit, wouldn't it?
  14. This is going to be an interesting winter, anyone care to predict the Elite League Teams that will contest the Elite League in 2017? Or whatever the TOP league will be called in 2017....?
  15. I agree with everyone about Woffys reactions to the crowd during and after his races, atmosphere, tons of it, you needed a really sharp knife to cut it... A truly legendary speedway meeting, best in years...!! It was Woffys interview (live) he completely lost the plot and called fans (some) IDIOTS in that live interview.. That was very wrong, gestures after races, wheelies, even riders helmeting (if that's e real world word) up to each other, adds to the occasion, and shows real passion, it's just you can't say what he said in a live TV interview!! Should have said something else....
  16. No, not an over reaction at all.... Great race meeting, great racing, great viewing, great banter, but you do not go on live TV and call any of the crowd they are "IDIOTS" I have never ever heard a sports star say on live TV that some of the or any of the crowd are "IDIOTS" It's just not done.... I challenge anyone to name another instance of this sort of behaviour, in an interview, on live TV, by any other sports person.. Sorry, it's not acceptable.
  17. The Good, no the Best.. What can I say.... What a brilliant night of racing, hard, brutal at times, but fair.......... If racing was as good as that all season, everywhere in the UK, then British Speedway wouldn't be in the mess it's in.... The Bad, no, awful.. Tai Woffinden in live interview, calling Belle Vue fans, not once, but twice "IDIOTS"!!!!!!!! I cannot ever remember any sports person, ever, ever, saying anything like that on a TV/Radio interview.. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour, from an absolute IDIOT!!! Bet that gets edited out of the reruns!!
  18. You are right, it was his baby, he chose the track shape, length, width, etc.... If it had have been you building it, who would you have took advice off? Just saying.......
  19. Mark Lemons decisions at Wolverhampton were tough ones, but they were "a rock or a hard place" type of decision.. From what I have seen and heard, he is a decent manager, makes a lot of sense when interviewed, but he's not an after dinner speaker like Peter Adams!! I think you should hang on to him if you can.......
  20. Fricke, hmmmmmmmm.... Ever since his crash in the SWC at the NSS, he seems to not want to mix it on the first turn.. Anyone else think that? The scores in the Play offs don't count towards the averages, so not massaging his average, unless he doesn't know!! Perhaps he just wants away from Belle Vue...? Defo not the rider he was early doors.. (in the UK anyway)
  21. [quote name="Trees" post="2860207" timestamp="1475619802" Leicester have now but it's all too late for the fans in particular ..... what is to say they will be able to get a team next Saturday? FROM THE LIONS WEBSITE: New Date for Kings Lynn Fixture Posted: 04 Oct 2016 16:10 Leicesters final Elite League fixture of the season against the Kings Lynn Stars which was due to take place at Beaumont Park on Friday has now been postponed until Saturday 15th October. It was disappointing to say the least but due to some of our team being unavailable it meant that we would have had to rely on guests to complete the side. We explored several options but in the end we were unable to assemble a competitive team and therefore took the decision to defer the meeting until next Saturday explained the Lions Co-promoter - David Darcy. COPIED VERBATIM FROM WEBSITE FOR CLARITY...
  22. I've been told its off Friday, because of lack of rider availability.... Now 15th October.... So someone at KL has been spoken to....!!
  23. You mean:........ SAM "STRAIGHTAWAY" Ermolenko!!
