Personally I don't want to watch Premier League racing at Leicester if at all possible, been there, done that, got the T-shirt...... I would prefer an expanded Top league, so you get different teams rather than the same old 7 teams, twice every season.. Revert to pre-edr format (total team ave not more than 39 pts. 1 GP rider, or over 8.00 allowed 8, 9, 10 of the best of the 3 yr trained edr's to ride at no 2 or 4 (1 per team minimum) No 6 and No 7, Brita only combined ave not to exceed 7pts, from all previous edr's/edr guests, from PL or NL, so you could have say a 5 pointer at no 6, and a 2 pointer at 7, say a Bewley, or Hume type of rider, but not a Wilko. So that's around 19/20 pts used So no's 2, 3, and 5 have 20 pts to play with... and you can have who the hell to fill those places except a GP rider, or another 8pt +er..... Don't have a working example of a team based on the above build, so if SCB/anyone else build a team with this criteria **** a 2 point reserve****** Anyone from the NL or PL that has not had more than 6 meetings in a PL or EL team, but qualifies for NL, not including old hands (over 20yrs) (They will be given the 2 point status for team build purposes) 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7)

It has to be because you can't go into a motorcycle shop, and buy a new/second-hand speedway machine, and then ride it home!!! Has anyone ever converted a speedway bike into a road going, legal bike? Surely someone has, at some point in time, even as a barmy project! Brakes, lights, re routing exhaust, right footpeg, suspension travel, electrical power, convert engine to petrol, perhaps a grass tracker gearbox and Bob's your uncle!!!!
-
No, so maybe it wasn't PK.. Someone hit the fence turn two, maybe coming out turn two, and ended up with some sort of broken back injury, it was definitely not any sort of league match, could have been an American then, or? It was a hot hot day, intercontinental/overseas Final perhaps, so before GP days.......

You can't replicate wear and tear on man and machine and track, they tried a new pairing formula as well as other ideas, I even believe a one minute time allowance was tried, and various gate choice situations, imediate tac subs and all sorts of things over the 2 tests...
-
Got them mixed up, all a much of a muchness though, aren't they....
-
No, SS, they were actually ran....
-
Who did then?
-
Why?? That would put a new promoter on the wrong footing from day 1, that really wouldn't be fair on him/them/her, would it...?
-
Fair enough, but if he's owed "thousands" it's got to have been a rider......
-
Ok, so Leicester don't come out of this "farce" very well, I admit that, but let's face a fact, the BSPA haven't actually helped the situation with the ridiculous level of fines issued over the "FLOODLIGHTGATE" episode..
-
That's the reserves done and dusted then....!!
-
Don't think it's gonna be binned as such, just re-packaged/branded because the riders won't be "drafted" the ones that have been part of it for 3 yrs, will be moved to second string, the others will move to/stay at 6 and a new raft of no 7's to be allowed, British, under 20's that have no main body exp in Prem or El league exp, perhaps Inc ex- draft guest riders, not inc the old hands.....
-
If teams were limited to a combined 6 & 7 ave of 7 pts, you could go with a 5 pointer, and a 2 pointer, or two 3.5ers, just a way of distributing the reserves, whilst allowing teams an element of choice, and stopping a reserve ringer being hired.... (Not enough pts left if your no 6 is a 3.5 to 5 pointer, you will still be able to take a punt on 2 point rider..
-
So they could change that to a 2 for team building purposes..... Right?
-
As in sorting out a van/flights/accomidation if required/ other fringe benefits? Is this what you mean?
-
Why? So you saying there's no riders anywhere in Europe, that could attain a 2 pt average? Or It could be created if needed by conversion, a 3.79 NL average converted up to a PL or EL average?
-
In a sport where it's competitors are so much more prone to injury, and compete in different Leagues around Europe, why oh why do we expect to hear the line ups so far in advance?? In most other sports, most teams aren't declared until the day of the contest/match, even Premier League football, or any football match, you only get a squad announced before they've warmed up!! If you went to see Leicester City at Chelsea on Saturday, specifically to watch Riyad Mahrez, he didn't start the game!! What if you'd gone to see Man City v Barcelona last night to watch Aguerro, he was benched.. What is this fixation in Speedway about knowing fully the teams make up days before the meeting? In the "good old days" it was perhaps easier to name your 1 to 7, they didn't globe trot all over Europe, if they got injured, you knew about it.... Now riders can even be injured on the same day as your teams meeting!!!
-
What about grouping reserve/err riders? Say teams are allowed 8 points combined for Reserves, so you could have a 6 pointer, but you could only them get someone on a 2, or a 5 and a 3? Or make it lower, 6 to play with, a 4 pointer and 2 pointer etc.....
-
It needs a larger number of teams, 12 would be a good start, Sheffield, Rye House, Ipswich and Somerset to move up? Giving 22 EL fixtures.. Stoke and an other to go PL? 1 New team goes NL?
-
Why can't riders have a combined world league racing average?
-
Couldn't they just remove heat 2 and 12 from the average calcs for the edr/reserves?
