How do you know he's banned? Could be a self initiated forum holiday? Or just fed up with the forum..

I agree, the lease holder will get any rent...

I think that this is good news, Coventry are an iconic team, been around since year dot. Supporters need to rally now, perhaps it's a good time to set up some sort of car share for those that want to go, but don't have transport.. it cuts both ways, car driver may not be able to fully fund regular drives to Leicester, but a couple of like minded passengers making small fuel donations and you have a win, win situation! I realise it will isolate some supporters, but at least you're running this season, you might only be at Leicester for 4, maybe 5 meetings, before Brandon is reinstated..

Not sure it's viable today, lack of interest, not enough riders.. You could end up frequently with teams packed even more with guests, with all the double up/downers.... Digbury Shiners (PL) has 2 of Saltons riders + has 1 rider d/down with Salton!! V Salton Echos (CL) is missing 2 riders who d/u with Digbury.. Loyalty and d/u & d/d would make this competition the laughing stock of the sporting world!!!

I too would be interested in this answer, and would want further information, depending on the answer...

Uncertainty Over Teams And Sky Tv
Shale Searcher replied to Nobblytriers's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
One of the root causes of speedways demise is multi-team riders, no more club loyalty, I suppose the riders see/here what other pro sports people earn, and want a bit of that as well, only naturally, but, club speedway, especially in the UK does not generate enough money, or sponsors, so the only way is for riders to ride for 3, even 4 clubs, that equates to 4 salaries, which is their only option.... Unfortunately, this has destroyed rider/club/fan loyalty.... -

Didn't think Sky could be "cast" to a big tv by any of the "casting devices" -
Think you'll be disappointed.. Don't think anyone from Leicester could come up with the rest of the dosh needed to fit alongside the BSPA's contribution to the lease.. This is why I'm positive we'll end up with Horton..
-
I think you'll find out it is Not gonna be Darcy at all... Be prepared for this news.
-
Bet ya bottom dollar.. If it's Horton....... Then there's no Darcy..
-
You do get that feel, having said that, if no aggreement has been made, nothing wrong with a brief statement saying "Negotiations are still in progress" That's all that's needed to inform the fans that they haven't been forgotten about! That's all.....
-
Ahh, so it's been discussed on Facebook, that's alright then.... Not!! Not everyone uses Facebook!!
-
And to let track staff go and get a hot/cold drink, and loo break...
-
It's the rumour of the name change to the "Leicester Bees" that would upset the fans...... Not the re-allocation of the promoter/riders.
-
Surely, such a huge decision would be discussed openly to guage fans of both tracks reactions?
-
I know it sounds batty, but you're dead right, Lions no more, just saved the Bees....
-
I think the Lions Promotion team need announcing first, Buster cannot be race night promoter, no manager named yet either, then we need some riders..... So let's wait until the Cov announcement first, then everything else should just fall into place.... Some rumours, well, you just don't want to know... So let's await for official announcements.

Until Leicester and Belle Vue announce their teams and managers, official promoters, I'm not taking anything as definitely, absolutely confirmed as running!!!! Chickens, and count etc..... -
That's not entirely correct though Robert, is it.....? Many different factors... have conspired to Speedways fall from grace..

From the Demise of the Labour Party thread in General, made me chuckle this, from the Guardian on line version.... Link provided by Wolfsbane.... ------------:::::--------------- Since youre here we have a small favour to ask. More people are reading the Guardian than ever but far fewer are paying for it. And advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. The Guardian's independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our perspective matters because it might well be your perspective, too. If everyone who reads our reporting, who likes it, helps to pay for it, our future would be much more secure. Become a Supporter Make a contribution -------:::::::::----------------

Are these actual meetings, or TBC dates? If they are official dates, then it seems obvious that whoever has control of the venue, just wanted Speedway out..
-
If that's the case, what did happen to it?

That particular rule was brought in to protect the staff/volunteers that need to be on the centre green (centre greens are available in other colours)
