Most British riders seem to lack "charisma" Fred Smith, David Jones, William James from Uddersfield....... Or Krystof Kasperzak, "Polish Rocket", Antonio Lindback, the "cool runnings" of Swedish Speedway, Hans Andersen, "Dynamic Dane.. See what I'm getting at.......? When there names are up in lights which sound exciting..?

Both? I reckon NKI is a better team man than Chris Holder, Chris Holder a better individual rider...

Which is the better rider..... As An Indivdual Rider, IE GPS etc..? As A Team Rider? In my opinion, both disciplines call on some different skills and different thinking....

The racing quality frequently fails to reach an acceptable standard, usually there's little passing. But most of all, I think fans feel disconnected from their team, frequently incomplete, and made up on the night with guest riders, which has destroyed the team/fan connection. This is accompanied by infrequent matches, lack of rider/team variety, poorly prepared racing surfaces, poor facilities, poor presentation and a like it or lump it attitude, not only from promoter to fan, but stadium owner to promoter... Cost would be absolutely fine if everything above cut the mustard, but it doesn't.. Riders still need paying, from a dwindling purse, because of a dwindling fanbase, hence increased admission and diluted teams..

Right, from what I have heard, the basic points monies has been paid to riders, it's the "individual rider" negotiated extras that haven't... This is what I have heard, anyway.... So please don't shoot the messenger, I am prepared to be corrected, if the above info in not correct.

Perhaps this is the reason the BSPA made sure Coventry got to tapes up (albeit at Leicester) just in case Belle Cue wasn't done and dusted by tapes up....? It may not be signed/sealed in time for BV to start season on time, but with Cov temporarily using Leicester, at least they are Sky compliant regards minimum 8 teams on track....

Well, POLAND gets 1st Priority, POLAND gets 2nd Priority, POLAND gets 3rd Priority, SWEDEN gets 4th Priority, DENMARK gets 5th Priority, LATVIA gets 6th Priority, RUSSIA/ARGENTINA gets 7th Priority, and UNITED KINGDOM gets 8th Priority.. Unless there's rain-offs, then POLAND gets Re-Staging Priority!!!

Great to watch him winding it on round the outside lines at Blackbird Rd, an unsung hero at a lot of meetings, really used to turn it on against Ole Olsen and his Bees...! Does he still sport his beard? Small in size, but A Giant on the track!!!!

It's difficult, isn't it...! When I rode in a proper amateur meeting at Stoke (programme an all) holding breath at the tapes was difficult, 4 amateurs all trying to sit still!! Don't think I took a breath from green light, to coming out 2nd bend!!, and by the time you've breathe out and in, turn 3 is there!!!! Truly out of breath after 4 laps on a waterlogged Stoke track!!

Now this is another situation of speedway shooting its own foot off, in fact, shooting both legs off, and an arm, and both ears and nose!!! Breaking up a team because of an average not fitting.. A rule needs bringing in, that if you retain riders, from season to season, averages don't come into it... There must be a way for this to work.. keeping riders season to season... Fans can get really attached to riders in their team, but the team is then forced to get rid, to comply with rules.. Got to be a way to reward club/rider rider/club loyalty..??

I was hoping for a list of top riders, or rather the better riders that aren't coming back this season.... Rather than a mathematical equation sort of answer... That's all, although a % answer is interesting, physical names of missing talent is more tangible..

Maybe, all the basic points monies have been paid out to Leicester riders for last season, and its just all the bonus's, sweeteners, Brown envelope payments haven't, just a thought....

You are dead right..... Like you say, the way the Haricot beans are cooked, and what's in the sauce, I find a lot of the generic branded tinned foods have a very strong background taste of Saccharine, overused and instead of proper sugar....
