  1. 6 points for R/R for Holub is probably more than he would have scored. Scunny did alright though better than I thought they would. Berge was excellent for the Tigers.
  2. Anyone see Scunny getting a sniff of anything here? I can't see anything other than a home victory by 16-20 though Auty and Douglas are capable around Owlerton.
  3. Anyone give Scunny a sniff of anything here? I can't see anything other than a home victory by 16-20 though Auty and Douglas are capable around Owlerton.
  4. Happy with this. I hope the announcement of other four won't be too protracted.
  5. Third rider announced today apparently. My money is on Jason Garrity or Simon Stead
  6. I think this is unlikely to happen. Time to move on, he's been a great rider & servant of the club in his heyday but started to go backwards following his nasty accident at home to Somerset.
  7. Jack Parkinson-Blackburn for number 7 anyone?
  8. Who will be the first rider announced tonight at the end of season do then? My money will be on Steady, if not Simon then Jason or Josh.
  9. I thought some of the Peterborough fans were an absolute disgrace, cheering when Kyle Howarth had a nasty fall. I was in the grandstand and one idiot sat in front of me was lucky not to get punched. Fortunately for him he left with his disfunctional family with him around heat 10. Hats off to Nicolai and Josh for some excellent racing and Paco rode better than his points tally as well. Hw was well clear in the heat where Rafa Konpka fell and, of course, Barker won the rerun and lapped Paco denying him a point when he was trying to nurse his bike home after an issue at the start.
  10. I believe Owlerton is owned by the casino (Dave Allen) next door (A & S Leisure, I think they are called) and they prefer to put Greyhounds on in preference to Speedway. Greyhounds run on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
  11. Not many comments on this thread. let's hope there is more interest at the track tonight. Weather is excellent at the moment.
  12. So the last scheduled home meeting of the season until the play offs. Anyone expecting anything other than a big home win?
  13. Not yet Daz. Plenty of rumours flying around but nothing definite.
  14. Tough one this with Tigers injury problems mounting by the day. Hopefully Klindt will pull his finger out and Bellego gets his mojo back or we might struggle against the win at all costs Moanarchs. Add in the uncertainty at reserve now Arthur's season is over and it could be a close one.
  15. As Tigerite said it didn't look like a nasty crash at all and it would seem the damage was done by his bike not the air fence. A real shame for Ryan, let's hope he recovers well from it. On another point I got a b###rd parking ticket from behind the church and the Old Crown pub last night. I've parked there for the last 8 years and this is the first time I've had a ticket. They can whistle for it.
  16. Expecting a healthy home win against our local rivals. The margin of victory will depend on Jason's fitness and Josh's improved form of late. Nicolai will be out to prove a point as well. Scunny's unknown Czech will he bounce or will he fly?
  17. According to Sheffield Telegraph Andre will be riding tonight !!!!! http://www.sheffieldtelegraph.co.uk/sport/other-sport/sheffield-tigers-australian-kurtz-loving-life-in-guest-star-role-1-7382998
  18. I for one am expecting a substantial home win. Any other thoughts? Who are the guests this week?
  19. It seemed to me that the bike hit the fence and bounced back and hit Ben but I was near the start/finish line.
  20. Rumours from last night were all about Castagna
  21. Well said Romans Lovechild. Sounds like some folk want processional races and not proper racing.
  22. I saw Cameron Heeps doing a few laps at the end. I didn't realise it was him though. I thought it was a National League rider. He looked ok but a bit rusty and didn't seem to do a lot of laps.
  23. Anyone see anything other than a convincing home win in this one? Brady Kurtz guests for Steady again.
  24. Also very similar to the one where Lawson's footrest caused Garrity's chain to come off - unpunished !!!
