  1. I wouldn't mind so much if there was some sort of consistency. If Oxford can win the League on a one match play off why can't Leicester win the KO Cup on a one match play off, especially as they have already won at Mildenhall!
  2. Could there be a triple header to include the Jubilee Trophy?
  3. I think they are just quoting what's on the Lion's website.
  4. The forecast is much better for tomorrow. The sensible thing is to postpone it until tomorrow afternoon!
  5. From the Oxford website :- THE new date for the home leg of our National League Grand Final against Leicester Lion Cubs has been set as Tuesday, October 31st at 7.30pm.
  6. I'm tempted to say it doesn't take much to beat Poole at the moment! Will I have to eat my words? All will be revealed in due course!
  7. Poole 1 Richard Lawson 2 Anders Rowe 3 Ben Cook 4 Zach Cook 5 Steve Worrall (Capt) 6 Kyle Newman 7 Lee Complin (Guest) Team manager Neil MiddleditchLeicester 1 Chris Harris (Capt) 2 Drew Kemp 3 Danyon Hume 4 Jake Allen 5 Leon Flint 6 Arran Butcher 7 Jason Edwards Team manager Stewart Dickson
  8. Meetings atLeicester topmorrow postponed.
  9. I totally agree with your comment about Lee Complin. My understanding is that riders testing track conditions do so at racing speed. Lee got nowhere near that. And what a convenient place to slide off gracefully - just by the pit gate. Joe Thompson did get up to racing speed and didn't seem to have a problem.
  10. By my reckoning it should be today or tomorrow unless there has been an extension like in the Nick Morris case.
  11. The riders were suspended for 30 days from 11th September so the hearing has to be before 11th Ictober.
  12. See here for some dates: http://www.leicesterspeedway.com/_mobile/news.php?extend.32348.1
  13. Just to add to your woes Max James and Vinnie Ford had a set too after one on their races at Belle Vue last night! Wonder what the Cubs Team Spirit will be like tonight!
  14. There's a few Mondays and Thursdays free now after the Lions result tonight!
  15. I agree about the odd team changes. They looked like panic to me! Come on the Cubs!
  16. I can see where you are coming from but some others don't seem to appreciate your sense of humour! Perhaps they are not up to speed!
  17. It's a bit more complicated than that. The land on which the stadium is built was where the effluent from the City's Victorian sewage treatment works was disposed of. The part on which the stadium stands was badly contaminated by heavy metals like lead and cadmium and is not fit for housing or any kind of development where people are going to spend a lot of time. Its extremely unlikely therefore that the Council will be able to sell the land for the forseeable future. The bits where development has taken place were not so badly contaminated.
  18. Wouldn't it make more sense to put Bewley at 5 and Worrall at 3 and move Sedgmen back to no 2 with r/r at 4?
  19. Does anyone know Lions riding order for tonight? I'm one of those cheapskates who make their own racecard!
  20. It's a bit like that old joke. Who played for Arsenal in the morning and Spurs in the afternoon? Answer: Metropolitan Police Band!
