  1. Very pleased to see the Gladiators win their first home meeting of the season! Who needs Garrity anyway?
  2. How has the weather been in the Perry Barr area this morning?
  3. He is at Scunthorpe with the Gladiators tonight. It's a track he knows well so it will be interesting to see how he goes.
  4. I'm hoping we see an improvement from Joe when he has done a few Championship meetings with Plymouth and perhaps gained some confidence. It's a shame that Plymouth haven't been able to have any meetings so far because of the weather.
  5. There are some clips from the Leicester v Ipswich match on the Lions Facebook page. There are least two cameras in use.
  6. I have a holiday caravan in South Devon and, as well as following my home town team, I have followed Exeter Falcons and the Plymouth Devils/Gladiators as well as the Somerset Rebels. At the Arena I have seen some cracking meetings over the years including those when Plymouth started up again and were in speedways third tier. The track might be a bit tricky but I've seen some spectacular overtaking and there's no time for the riders to get strung out like I saw at the NSS on Monday. If anyone reading this is having a holiday in South Devon or North Cornwall this summer, I urge you to go to the Coliseum for a good night's speedway. There's plenty of free parking in the Coypool Park and Ride Car Park and plenty of seating!
  7. I don't know where you live Lenny but at 6pm and 4 miles from the track it was raining heavily. Half an hour later it was still raining heavily in South Leicester. It was still drizzling at 9.pm.
  8. I suppose I really ought to start a 2024 thread! The Lions pricing structure for next season includes season ticket holders getting a discount off admission to Cubs meetings. I'm really pleased that this means the Cubs will be riding again in 2024.
  9. From the Lion's website:- LEICESTER co-promoter and team manager Stewart Dickosn is representing the club at this week’s AGM of British Speedway Promoters’ Ltd. Dickson has flown to Tenerife for the three-day gathering which gets underway on Wednesday November 15 and will see plans for the 2024 season rubber-stamped. News from the AGM is expected at the end of the week, and the Lions themselves expect to be in a position shortly to confirm their own club structure and intentions for next year.
  10. I'll go.along with that! Anything to stop Poole getting another trophy!
  11. I can't believe the Mildenhall Manager said this:- Mildenhall boss Jason Gardner said: “On a personal basis, I am over the moon to have a winners’ medal in my first season as sole team manager. “But more importantly I’m really pleased for the club, the volunteers and supporters that we have the KOC back in the West Row trophy cabinet. It’s also a reward for missing out on both titles last season. “Of course it’s a shame that we didn’t win on the track, but that was out of our hands.”
  12. I think all right minded speedway supporters would agree with you! What a way for a young lad to finish a season full of promise, including beating Josh Pickering! I wish him well and hope that he comes back stronger than ever!
  13. As Poole have been unable to hold the home leg of this playoff surely the trophy should be awarded to Leicester in accordance withe the same principles used by the BSPA to decided the NDL Championship and the Knock Out Cup winner.
  14. Don't forget it takes two to tango!
  15. I assume the Jubilee Trophy will now be awarded to Leicester!
  16. If its rained off tomorrow then neither team wins!
  17. That's another rule that needs changing then!
  18. I don't think anyone can explain the logic behind that decision! Perhaps it was a typo! If Mildenhall have any decency they will refuse to accept the cup!
