According to the fixture lists on the Leicester and the BSPA websites this rearranged fixture will take place on 4th September. Not far off but no news item on the Lions website!

It's not just about a dodgy weather forecast. Given the forecast and the sort of day it's been, cloudy all day with the occasional shower, how many fans would have turned up with their umbrellas and rain gear, compared to how many would have turned up on a warm, sunny evening, especially when Glasgow are in town? After all running a speedway club is a business!

Teams were announced in yesterdays press release. Same as for tonight except Morris and Douglas swap places. Fair chance the weather will win whichever forecast you look at. Quote from press release; Dickson tracks the same riding order which was in place at Birmingham last week, with Nick Morris taking the No.5 berth, whilst Ryan Douglas will race in that position in the home fixture.

Lot of speculation on Updates that Eastbourne riders are not getting paid. Might explain lack of rider in heat 15.

The area where the Arena is isn't called Marsh Mills for nothing! And they get a touch of Pooleitis when the tides in!

If I come over to Perry Barr to see this meeting and park on the One Stop car park, which is the best way to walk to the track? I've looked on Google but that's not much good because everywhere looks like one big building site. Presumably due to the Commonwealth Games.

I agree. I'm about 4 miles from Beaumont Leys and it's raining now.

It's certainly true that, initially, the track had a reputation for drying out quickly after heavy rain. I don't know if Glyn's attempts to alter the track shape to improve the racing interfered with the drainage.

The supporters presumably live a little nearer!

The match being called off has nothing to do with Leicester City v Man City in the Charity Shield being on tv or the Speedway GP being on tv then!

Was the same as Saturday. Lions outgated for most of the evening. Only 3 race wins and only one lucky heat advantage says it all.

Spot on. Three track gradings and waterings, including one in the interval, and all over in 90 minutes is ok by me. Will have to see how Ans goes but, like you, I suspect he is no longer a No. 1 rider.
