  1. For the anoraks amongst you, next seasons regulations have now been published on the SCB web site. https://scbgb.co.uk/regulations
  2. I will need to check but I think it was a planning condition.
  3. I suspect that the City Council placed some restrictions on how high the lighting levels could be when the track was built.
  4. Please see this link https://britishspeedway.co.uk/wsra-ndl/2025-ndl-ndt-rider-eligibility/ It made my head hurt!
  5. I've read somewhere that a new stadium sponsor has been found.
  6. I think it's fair to expect some improvement from Sam next season as well as the three you mention.
  7. I can't think of anyone else whose ridden for the Lion's and hasn't been back on these shores for a number of years!
  8. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/uGLNQYNUmibFv3JK/
  9. I think the pits were designed like they are to reduce the noise emissions from bikes revving up. It was something to do with the planning permission.
  10. According to the Lion's FB page, Pidcocks Motorcycles have gone bust. I don't know how that will affect Lion's team building plans!
  11. You need to bear in mind that, if Lions hadn't retained Hagon, they would have had sixth pick. Who would you have chosen?
  12. You get two legs with a pair of trousers! Can anyone tell me why a jumper with two arms isn't called a pair of jumpers?
  13. I'm desperately trying not to be pessimistic here! It's raining heavily four miles from the track. The forecast is for the heavy rain to continue into the evening and then light rain is forecast until the early hours of Wednesday. The forecast is much better for the rest of tomorrow and Thursday but it will take a miracle to get the track rideable, let alone raceable! I fear that, if the meeting goes ahead, it will be farcical!
  14. SCB statement: On Tuesday 10th September the Speedway Control Bureau (SCB) recieved an injury/sick note for Ipswich Rider Emil Sayfutdinov who despite representing his Polish Club on Sunday 8th September was unable to travel to the UK due to dehydration and exhaustion following the event in Poland. Mr Sayfutdinov has been signed out up-to-and-including the 12th September. The Ipswich team will be granted a facilty during this period.
  15. Anders Michanek scored a 21 point seven ride maximum for Leicester in 1968.
  16. My first two signings would be the Thompson twins. Ben Barker is not the rider he was!
