Checked out the new g/s averages and it seems we have 2.2ish to play with again { or around 6. if Rose is still out. When is the 'transfer' deadline this season?

Plymouth V Edinburgh - Sat 25/07 - 7:15pm

Wash your mouth out with carbolic soap. Shame on you for mentioning the 'f' word on a speedway thread. A big hurrah to Plymouth for taking the 'Smugs'. A prime example of home advantage working. What the hell has happened at Brough? -
Yeah, Tero should prove to be very dangerous at reserve. But does that put a returning Rose straight into the fire at no2 yet again?

Usually of Antipodean origin! Okay, they invented the damn sport, but please? I now find myself replying to people with 'no worries' or 'no probs' Argh! Every body has to learn their trade somewhere. Would any of us lambast the mistake of an apprentice sparky/joiner/dry-waller etc. so why a young rider on his learning curve. Some good memories you have there sir, I just missed a young Tai at Brough, mores the pity. Or was looking for some level of commitment from the club which did not materialise. Last year's transition period for your club was, as an outsider, clear, and understandable. But Covatti had already aired his talents to a World audience and was surely worth a punt this year. Maybe the Witches made a better offer. Cert very worth his guest outings for us this season. Shame he was not available for our last clash at Owlerton.

Well if Chistian's own posting proves to be accurate, it seems that our management have yet more head scratching to do. Where can they find a five pointer I wonder in the hope that young Rose returns on time. Short of him being a total flop, the obvious choice is keep Aarnio if averages will allow?

Scaphoid is one of those bones with little area blood flow, with hence slower recovery times. Should give Tero a good go for the Diamonds though. I would love to see him have a really good month-or more- in our colours. Any news on Christian, anyone?

Really can't see this being a struggle in any way for the home lads. A scunny style result is highly likely, and TBH. anything closer would bode ill for our team. Many {me inc.} will be going to see Eddie Kennett, with luck, put on a challenge to Stevie, Lewi and Ludde and provide some good racing. Rye, on a Northern tour, will bring a few fans along- fingers crossed- but for the most part, it will be home fans only. I just hope that the terraces aint too empty. Standing high on the fourth bend terrace {as usual} last week, the amount of exposed concrete was alarming. In even recent years, this area was far more populated. Still hoping for a good home win naturally, and maybe a few points for Mr Aarnio {two a's dantodan, your spellcheck last week?} to boost his confidence. Interesting to read that Newcastle have been eyeing him for a few weeks. Clearly Nielsen was under the spotlight-prob. still is- and pending, hopefully, Rose's return, Tero will have cemented his place and given our management a headache. Assuming, by that time, that the team has anything left to play for. If nothing else, Aarnio might earn a 2016 birth if really successful.

Sorry, but I am the only person not wanting to be standing in the SKY office as some over payed flunkie tries to explain why D-Head darts took precedence over what would/should have been a classic EL speedway meeting. Or did the Poole biased team at SKY purposely shy away lest we see an on-screen melt-down from a grief stricken presenter as the 'chosen' are humbled.

It was an outsiders' opinion and maybe an 'buck up your ideas' team talk was miss read by Berge. For your teams sake, I truly hope so.

Sorry, but as a neutral {Diamonds} speedway fan, I still want to go to Shielfield and watch the sort of racing that attracts not only Sky, but the international community to Berwick. Long may the club continue to run given such a spectacle and I hope that a blip in currant performance does not sound its death knell.

Well, when Worky come a visiting I hope its his 'other week' cos I don't want to be on the receiving end of tonight's style of performance. If he prefers a smaller track then he can become another 'Diamond Kenny' to cheer imo. -

A truly sad tw*t then. A classic example of southerners picking, in their eyes, a stereotypical northern Geordie buffoon to be ridiculed and therefore cement their opinion in the eyes of every one of their brain dead viewers. I hate to think people who find him actually entertaining are making up any real proportion of our crowd base. But hey, maybe I am just an old fogey with no sense of humour- each to their own I suppose. -
Yeah, our lads seemed to lose their wind after it, but hey ho, I have been at too many ultra one -sided meetings and lost interest in the out come only for the TR to add some spice to really see its loss. Sure, I have stood on the terraces or sat in the armchair shouting 'what the fu*k' when it goes against you, but hey the euphoria when the opposition tac.sub. is pulling a cool last is still a hoot.

Sorry, but seems to me that the Glasgow management have perchance taken a leaf out of the ideals of a certain deeply southern EL club. While I understand that they have invested deeply in their infrastructure, investing in their riders loyalty is equally important. Come the winter how many riders will balance the big cash incentive offered for their services with an apparent lack of respect for they themselves?
