Newcastle Announcement 27 September
HadrianDog replied to Terrace Grumbler's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
And a rousing cheer was made by us actually there, proving that it meant something to the 'real' Diamonds supporters. -
Could someone without an axe to grind please explain 1. Did Tero ride on Saturday, and 2. Just how 'injured' was Hanson? If either missed the q/f in order to be properly fit to ride for their home clubs, then fine, that is wholly understandable, if a tiny bit annoying from a partisan standpoint.

Being having to be effectively forced to take a 'clap lap' for his win shows that the lad is lacking confidence. Cmon Anton, finish the season on a flyer! Tempted Dave, but this is a family forum. Thought myself that the younger lads seemed quicker than the older ones in the second half. Admit to only seeing the first four heats though.

Was truly sh*** tonight riding for Swindon as an apparent replacement for Lewis Rose. First and foremost to the post, he clearly had a run of good form last night, and good luck to the lad. However, more worrying is Lewis being dropped by the Robins- is he fit or not? Hopefully just Swindon pushing for a play-off spot. Poss. wishful thinking RD. Do you stand on line cos from fourth bend, it was not clear at all.

Yeah, there was some good entertainment for certain. That on the line virtual triple finish was a perfect end to a damn good heat. As to people being put off by not knowing who was guesting. Yes, the website is prob. all volunteer staffed by people doing a good job. I doubt anyone believed it was their fault. I contribute regularly to a website as part of my job and am fully aware of things like time constraints, content proofing and the like, not to mention the prob. one poor sod who has half a dozen others banging on at them because 'my little bit is not on-line yet' A simple news flash was all that was needed to keep the fans informed. Whether our management bothered to ask them to do it is no doubt the real issue. A slip is acceptable, but a cynical attempt at covering up for a mediocre guest is not. In the end Wilko had a reasonable night- he usually does at Brough, even avoiding his usual one fall a meeting here. The teams detractors will always have their gripe on here, but loading their weapon of choice should be avoided. Hey if nowt else, it provided an off track topic for discussion.

Good news

Henry now confirmed as out for the season, Guess the management are now waiting on the LR prognosis before any decisions, prior to a re-shuffle.
-
Would make a good regular guest or a 28 day contract maybe?

Had not closely checked the numbers and quite agree that on his average Lewis Kerr is very 'guestable ' {prob. not a word}, but applicable to this case. Still seems an attractive option if Christian and or LR are lost to the season given his past liking for Brough though.

Hell of a guess! Do you do the lottery?
