  1. And a rousing cheer was made by us actually there, proving that it meant something to the 'real' Diamonds supporters.
  2. I can see too many likely 3/3's for us to dent their aggregate lead for us to progress, but fingers crossed.
  3. Could someone without an axe to grind please explain 1. Did Tero ride on Saturday, and 2. Just how 'injured' was Hanson? If either missed the q/f in order to be properly fit to ride for their home clubs, then fine, that is wholly understandable, if a tiny bit annoying from a partisan standpoint.
  4. Just wondering whether Tero has some form of medical insurance in this country which once advised against riding would be somehow invalidated? Just a thought, because he seems a very genuine bloke- maybe his arm was twisted back home where maybe obligation has a higher and more serious consequence.
  5. 12 points tonight for Workington, but unfit for our trip to the 'smugs'!! Did we really land on the moon and who killed JFK? Work it out theorists everywhere.
  6. Exactly what one of your travelling fans said to me as he left- just in a slightly more forthright manner. Very surprised at the score line which belies just how good it was as a spectacle. Would have made a hell of an advert for the sport had the SKY cams been there.
  7. Granted on that screm. Doubt he wants to stay at Redcar, so does he want your big track or a year to learn on a technical circuit down here?
  8. Palovaara crocked in Sweden, with Liam Carr in at Ashfield. Would suppose that he is coming to Brough also. Simon and Tero should have the reserve end tied up, so down to the heat leaders to do their bit and prolong our season. Fingers crossed.
  9. ON recent form, I would not rule out Mr Kus as a 2016 Diamonds signing.
  10. Two Brits, one and two? hm? Yeah I can live with that. Would prefer Stevie Worrall to be up there instead if I was being truly partisan though
  11. Is this wishful thinking or a genuine return for Ben Barker. If the latter, then good luck on his return. But not too much, I am after all a Diamonds fan. He last rode at Brough the night before his Brit crash, so kind of fitting- I suppose.
  12. Point of post is the currant likelihood of Lewis Roses' return to the Diamonds as a viable rider . Whether Branford can cut it at so called EL level is purely secondary to this. Looked good at Brough though!
  13. Being having to be effectively forced to take a 'clap lap' for his win shows that the lad is lacking confidence. Cmon Anton, finish the season on a flyer! Tempted Dave, but this is a family forum. Thought myself that the younger lads seemed quicker than the older ones in the second half. Admit to only seeing the first four heats though.
  14. Was truly sh*** tonight riding for Swindon as an apparent replacement for Lewis Rose. First and foremost to the post, he clearly had a run of good form last night, and good luck to the lad. However, more worrying is Lewis being dropped by the Robins- is he fit or not? Hopefully just Swindon pushing for a play-off spot. Poss. wishful thinking RD. Do you stand on line cos from fourth bend, it was not clear at all.
  15. Yeah, there was some good entertainment for certain. That on the line virtual triple finish was a perfect end to a damn good heat. As to people being put off by not knowing who was guesting. Yes, the website is prob. all volunteer staffed by people doing a good job. I doubt anyone believed it was their fault. I contribute regularly to a website as part of my job and am fully aware of things like time constraints, content proofing and the like, not to mention the prob. one poor sod who has half a dozen others banging on at them because 'my little bit is not on-line yet' A simple news flash was all that was needed to keep the fans informed. Whether our management bothered to ask them to do it is no doubt the real issue. A slip is acceptable, but a cynical attempt at covering up for a mediocre guest is not. In the end Wilko had a reasonable night- he usually does at Brough, even avoiding his usual one fall a meeting here. The teams detractors will always have their gripe on here, but loading their weapon of choice should be avoided. Hey if nowt else, it provided an off track topic for discussion.
  16. Best of it is, is the match day programme had Carl Wilkinson in print, so when is the mag sent to the printers? I know that modern day print runs are quick, but surely his name was known by at least Friday, yet it was not deemed worthy to tell the fans.
  17. Exactly Dantodan's point here. The Bandits lost a rider only last night and this afternoon we know the replacement for our match, yet we are yet to be told who is covering for one of two longer term injury concerns. Is this 'secret squirrel' on steroids or what.
  18. Leaving the forum now to buy my ticket as usual, but the mystery situation re. guests does not exactly encourage people to do likewise I would bet.
  19. Henry now confirmed as out for the season, Guess the management are now waiting on the LR prognosis before any decisions, prior to a re-shuffle.
  20. Would make a good regular guest or a 28 day contract maybe?
  21. Had not closely checked the numbers and quite agree that on his average Lewis Kerr is very 'guestable ' {prob. not a word}, but applicable to this case. Still seems an attractive option if Christian and or LR are lost to the season given his past liking for Brough though.
  22. Hell of a guess! Do you do the lottery?
