  1. At this injury rate a call from George cap in hand prior to a re-declaration is more likely.
  2. At this rate the jinx will frighten off prospective guests. Don't suppose that Stevie W could ride for both teams tomorrow night. Whoever we get lets hope they have experience of Armadale or at least a small tight track somewhere. Still say we should try to persuade Jase out of retirement even as a stop-gap to re-whet his appetite.
  3. Since we must declare a team /riding order pre-meeting its obvious that the Monarchs have based their preview on this.
  4. Thought I had seen it already that Luke Crang is guesting on Friday or has the Monarchs website got it wrong. Not the first time that our team has been announced on the opposition teams' website first- laughable!
  5. Does anyone know whether Lewis Rose is expected to be fit?
  6. Short of injuries{if so only minor}or 'mechanicals' heavily affecting the Monarchs, I can see nothing but 'woe, woe and thrice woe' being exercised upon our patched up set of lads. I am at present reluctant to use the word 'team' in connection with the current Newcastle pack. Hope I am proved wrong obviously. PLEASE prove me wrong.
  7. Is there any hint here that we were judged to have bent/broke the rules simply because George is on the MC. and to do nothing would have smacked of bias. With the nous we as fans know he has, I cant believe that someone did not 'backtrack' on an 'understanding he had with them.
  8. At Brough watching the Diamonds. He seemed to lose shape coming into the fourth bend and buried himself into our new air fence{thank the lord these were made compulsory} The paramedics were seen to call for a ambulance straight away. He was lifted into the ambulance on a back board complaining of lower back pain. Talk is it was only as a precaution, but he must be doubtful for your Lakeside meeting sorry to say. Just to make this even more depressing for KL fans Lawson scored 14 dropping his only point to Lewis Kerr mind you.
  9. Guessing you are thinking if his average drops by say 2ish, Rose finds it hard in the main body and drops say half a point, with an out of form Ludo doing something similar, we might have in the region of 5 and a half {dropping Greenwood} to get a reasonable no2 allowing a return to Rose /Schramm at reserve?
  10. It was interesting to see in the aborted Swedish League match on Eurosport last Tuesday that both Lingren and Rosen were down to race- Lingren at reserve and Rosen in main body. Thought the same as you at that point.
  11. Sept back then it was Lbs of supplies. The metric crap was yet to tarnish our shores.
  12. When a rider {Rose in this case} goes from an NL birth prior season to a debut PL this season and is main body by May averages, he is either destined for the top or the team management have made a booboo. Time will tell?
  13. You have to remember that this Plymouth team turned over the Somerset Rebels in the LC earlier in the season, so a point is well deserved. It sounds like they had good crowd too. Be interesting to see the turn out come Sunday. King vs. Lawson not quite as appealing as vs. Barker, but should still be good esp. given Lawson's more recent knowledge of Brough.
  14. I personally agree with your closing statement but be prepared for those detractors who will suggest "Or on the cheap"!
  15. Good to hear that and thanks for the details you supplied also. Knew it was his first visit to the track so pleased he was in the points. Beat you to the post button only because of your exam strains methinks?
  16. Have you any opinion on Danny Kings' performance down there-does he look the business against young Barker for example.
  17. Saw somewhere that he already has a plate in the lower back and the recent injury is in the vicinity and giving him gip. Knowing his 'tough as nails' approach, he must be really hurting or resting on medical advice perhaps?
  18. A good away point from the lads. Pity no Schramm or we maybe would have taken them at least to draw. For the first time he has ridden it, DK was pretty successful and it seems he can ride the smaller track which bodes well for his future at Brough.
  19. A very big ????, but fingers crossed. You mean 'Unique' shaped track surely. Or the track which nurtures future champions would also fit. This degree of cynicism from someone of your tender years can only prove one thing. You are a speedway supporter without a doubt. Agreed! Yeah, interesting to see in the aborted Swedish League match on Eurosport that while Rosen was main body, Lingren was in a reserve birth-hm
  20. Its all smoke and mirrors. Cant quite see George as Dumbledore though. Maybe a Hobbit perchance?
  21. Seemed to be going well enough in the Best Pairs helping the Aussies to another win.
  22. Or they want to see how he rides Brough first. Anyone know if the lad has ever had a spin round our shale by the way?
  23. An interesting spot on the new look web site. Management either still looking or young master Greaves yet to put pen to paper?
