  1. Claes would seem to be the 'forgotten man' of the Diamonds. To me he did nothing wrong, having a fantastic end to the 2012 season. For some reason it appears he was not wanted by the management!
  2. Your loss may be our gain? Maybe Chris can do a job for the Diamonds methinks.
  3. Certainly had one 'whinger' in my vicinity, but most-me included- saw it as a good meeting. On the telly to the neutral viewer, it would have been at least a semi-classic, but for the stoppages. Given the words from George and Robbo in the programme though, they have doubts about our track surface. Has todays work rectified it I wonder. In my mind our 'home track advantage' has been nullified to date by the winter alterations, albeit with the right intentions.
  4. Got to like your optimism, but then again I had us being stuffed tonight, so who knows?
  5. If the numbers work and we get him in, then maybe he will do what Schrammbo did for us post Plymouth.
  6. But come June averages I think with a shoe horn and axle grease, just maybe. And till then-as already suggested-as a short termer for Schrammbo.
  7. Standing on the terraces at the fourth bend and we all saw contact-the ref was right[for once]
  8. Would not be surprised if Chris Mills ends up in a Diamonds race-suit for the rest of the season cos Dan Greenwood is well off the pace.
  9. Regret to say not at the moment. With the team we have at this time a rain-off is preferable.
  10. Neither can I or a fair few other Diamonds fans!
  11. I like Ludo , on his day he is a class act, but our current team probs. are highlighting his inconsistent form. As an heat leader he should be able to go toe to toe with the best the opposition has on offer. Too many times do we see him failing against a reserve.
  12. He rode in the GP qualifier up at Berwick and seemed reasonable against some quality opposition and then at Brough he had a 'never say die' attitude even after that first straight pile-up with his team mate. But as you say, far too many negatives to make him viable at Brough.
  13. So he can be knocked off the list then. Thanks for the info though.
  14. What is the position on availability/average of Facundo Albin? He would seem a likely contender for a reserve birth in my mind.
  15. Sorry to say it, but in our present state I would rather forego my Sunday speedway fix and see a proper Diamonds team vs Ipswich at a later date. But of course if we run I will pay my fifteen quid and hope it ain't another debacle.
  16. Even if he did it would mean another team re-gig. No, what we need is an effective reserve pairing to back up what is on paper at least a fairly potent main body when they collectively click.
  17. We need Harry Potter, a Fairy Godmother and a Guardian Angel just to stay afloat, never mind reach the play-offs. To 'save us' in this scenario would need divine intervention. Given our race suits, could perchance the spirit of 'The Ghost' return as our saviour?
  18. I would def. take on Facundo Albin. He is an full on trier just like Schrammbo- would make a hell of a double act- if they stay upright of course.
  19. To be honest, with the team in this state, we as fans are looking for any glimmer of hope.
  20. WHAT? stranger things have happened, but if this is not a wind-up, god knows where George is going with this one.
  21. To be honest we scored alright for a four man team, but to be in the position of needing to hand three of Rose's rides to an ineffective novice was always courting disaster. I just hope Sundays' match gets rained off so we can at least ride it with a full team-pity our rain was not falling on Scotland tonight.
  22. Last Sunday we may as well have gone in with no reserves- neither scored a point without opposition help.
