Sorry, but given their averages {reductions?} and them both starting the season 'running', I can see our No1 changing on a month by month basis for the length of the season, never mind the possible 'Rosen Factor'.
-
Far too many of our supporters who I think in their minds see themselves as 'working class' still ignore the efforts of sheeters etc. How many on here see themselves as 'tradesmen' or 'machinists' or the like who have a 'dogsbody' who sweeps the floor in their work place whom they see somehow to be 'below them ' . Sorry, but get a life and realise that few if anyone can do their job or enjoy their favourite sport without those prepared to actually get down and get dirty.
-
Yeah, cos without them, none of us have anything to watch. Too many people forget the 'behind the scenes' people who support everyone in their everyday lives, let alone those who 'merely' allow us to watch our favourite sport. But I bet there are more than a few getting into Brough on their shirt-tails right {or wrongly} enough.

Congrats on -regrettably- now former diamond Robbo signing for Coventry Bees. Looking forward to seeing him on the telly at least.
-
Def. no pop at the supporters club, just a worry that some on here wishing for a miracle will be disappointed, after all not everyone is au fait with averages etc. The odd person may actually believe the club has an jack-rabbit hidden beneath their over-inflated air-fence. Careful you ain't sucked under by an under-currant of pomposity despite your good intentions.

Premier League 2015 Predictions
HadrianDog replied to cambpanther's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
While I would like to see Elite Speedway up north, I cant see the predominately more southern EL clubs sanctioning it. Mind you, with the their league shrinking, I suppose anything is possible. -
So, it seems we have to wait until Jan 19th before we hear the final team. Why for gods sake? While I do hope the race night is a success, I cant believe that its announcement during the event will put many more bums on seats than usual. If its finalised, just put us out of our misery and tell us mere supporters. And no, that's not a hint that Robert Mear has signed for the Diamonds.
-
What are the promotion waiting for I wonder? Are they toying with us, our has one of Neilsen/Henry yet to put pen to paper? Or are we waiting to see if Chris Mills is up for another season. I, for one would not mind a fully fit Mills in to provide experience to an essentially young team esp. if Christian Henry is not there. I think his marriage to an English lass prob. does away with any visa difficulties. Unless some other rule has changed of course.
-
Merry Christmas to all and lets hope for a successful season which is largely injury free. Just for once I would like to see an intact team both start AND finish the season. Lets try and make this a year where the lads don't see the walls of the RVI too many times please, { or any hospitals on the road too}

Aaron is trapped in the very less than delicate hands of an ageing dinosaur harking back to an by-gone age. Said 'raptor' may indeed have been 'gazumped' by North of the border' money, but Summers deserves better than this brinkmanship. He should appeal for arbitration and hope that the Aussie 7=5 scenario does him some favours team placement wise.
-
And this memo changing from 7 to 5 was only sent to one club even though Berwick had declared an interest in an Aussie rider and declared him on a 7? On another point if the BSPA do manage to coerce{ha ha} the UKBA, how many other clubs are going to claim foul because they lost the potential services of a rider because they merely followed the existing rules.
-
Dunno if it cost Summers a Brough spot, but Haverlock Sn. should perhaps move into the modern world and realise he can no longer demand [realistically] the sums of money relevant in the days of crowds of thousands. Fair enough if he wants Summers, [to a degree ala Kus ] but if its a p!!! take then sorry but, get real. And this is from a neutral [okay a diamonds fan, but the point is valid].

Most of young Mr Worrall's Diamonds' detractors are I think, myself included, basing our worries on his past Brough form. It seems that the Edinburgh faithful believe we have it wrong and he will 'stoop to conquer' our domain. God', how I hope so, and failing that, its never bad to have a rider with blistering away form for a few extra points. As long as the other lads can hold Brough that would be more than acceptable. That said, we must not lose as many points at home as last season cos that was simply embarrassing, if not painful {Redcar} to watch.
-
Like it, but have his same miss-givings. Fingers crossed that this seasons 'strength in depth' will work.
-
On a cynical note, was being our number 1 a proviso for Kerr signing- just a Jack Daniel's fuelled thought. If so def. worth it imo.

-
Stevie Worrall back at the Diamonds. Team is nearly there methinks!
-
Because I think the Diamonds still think they have a sniff with Richie should a Rebels team place fall through. Perhaps wishful thinking on my part. It still boils down to the BSPA basically trying to 'bully' the border agency. I for one hope they fail miserably. Its about time that the Bspa realise just what an insignificant bunch they are in the real world.
-
Is it not so wonderful that the deliberate attempt to circumvent the rules by a team at the other end of the country is seemingly preventing us from naming a team. If this is the case, it surely means we have an interest in a rider down there, be it Holder or Richie. Since we cant fit both Worralls in, Steve too is in limbo. Surely it is time for the border agency to make a statement which takes it out of the hands of certain self-righteous team owners so that we can all move on!
-
Exactly, he seemed fine in the Swedish leagues where he was 'main body' whereas Ludo was at reserve!
-
Fan-bloody-tastic, the 'Turnip Twins' are back for 2015. Now this team is starting to shape up. Roy will be so happy to be able to use their nick-names once again. Another set of twins in the offing too would be good. Haven't checked on averages though- maybe now a non-starter. Also good to see the website catering for us shift workers and posting in the early hours. Should liven up this forum once a few of you 'normal' hours workers rise from your slumber too.
-
Would also mean I would only see every other home meeting owing to work commitments. Prob. true for a good few of us terrace'huggers' As to team prediction. We have a history of loyalty to riders and I think that George feels he perhaps badly treated Henry and Rosen and wants them back, or on a more cynical note maybe he wants to prove that he was right last year with strength in depth by picking a very similar team. Still think that a 2013 Richie would be worth the chance if he can be persuaded to put Poland on hold. Just wish the bloody BSPA would give a definitive answer so all teams can move on.
-
Vested interests will always be to the fore I am afraid.
-
I wonder if we had our eyes on an Aussie too and have also been affected by this 5to 7 lark?
-
And about time they did to. I like to see good foreign riders as much as the next fan, but too many times the person is only so-so brought in on an artificially low average at the expense of blooding a brit.
