Its a speedway stadium , if not, its the biggest white elephant Manchester City Council have ever ploughed money into
-
Its a purpose built speedway stadium , i can't see any other sport being the preferred option ? And I'm sure the council are 100% committed to it remaining primarily a speedway venue ,
-
Agreed , I'd love to see Dimitri Berge included Good team that .
-
Max Fricke is definitely one for the future , but he missed a lot of meetings last year , and his away form was poor . personally I'd prefer Zagar , if the Aces can afford him , which seems unlikely
-
Exactly ,!! i keep seeing this ridiculous line , " it should be a good track , its brand new " Pretty sure things like ..Size , shape ,track preparation are the main points of a good speedway track ? Not how long its been built .

Belle Vue is the best track in the country , and produced some fantastic speedway last year So I'd say there's a reasonable chance future FIM meetings may be held there ? , -

Exactly , the track at Belle Vue is possibly the best in the country , the shape , the drainage . everything is in place , whats needed now is for events like the SWC to be held there on a regular basis , -

"Like the sound of their own voices ", ? This coming from Poole fans , who despite indulging in a bout of mutual back slapping Still haven't provided a genuine reason why Swindon Wiltshire should be the home of British Speedway Nor have you mentioned the numerous northern fans who would love to attend future FIM meetings at the NSS whats that you say ? , Belle Vue wont be awarded anymore big FIM meetings ? We'll see shall we .... -

And what about attracting fans from the north of England / Scotland ? Plenty of speedway fans north of Watford -

How on earth would a national speedway stadium in Swindon be more accessible to fans ? Yes the NSS was built for the belle Vue aces but also to attract FIM world championship meetings , British finals etc In that respect I'd have thought Manchester was An ideal location for speedway fans across the country, -

Why do you think Belle Vue will struggle this year ? , not announced the line up yet ? -
Dont want be selling all our best riders , without a team they may as well fold anyway ?
-
? Cook 9.83 Berge 6.91 Worrall 8.47 Palm Toft 6.98 Fricke 9.92 Bewley 3.90 Williamson 3.67 49.68
-
Zagar and Fricke could both be fitted in under 50 , just means omitting one of the Worrall's But having the likes of Berge and or MPT , would give the Aces strength in depth .....Interesting
-
Belle Vue need a stronger team than Cook ,the Worralls Jacobs and Bewley , we need either Zagar or Fricke or preferably both , to have any chance of attracting bigger gates
-
Good team , I'd be happy with that ...
-
Cook 9.83 Palm Toft 6.98 S Worrall 8.47 R Worrall 8.49 Fricke 9.92 Bewley 3.90 2.00 ??
-
I'd love to see Matej Zagar back next year , but his average , like so many other top riders ,is going to make it difficult
-
Probably , but unless Jacobs improves his away form, we're effectively riding with three reserves
-
Sorry DC , i think ive just 'stolen' your team idea ... only just seen your post Great team BTW
-
I thnk taking Batchelor ( if he's available ) Is a no brainer on that average . pair him with Max, and on that big fast Belle Vue circuit he could be a great addition to the Aces team
-
1/ M Fricke 9.92 2/ T Batchelor 7.36 3/ S Worrall 8.47 4/ R Worrall 8.49 5/ C Cook 9.83 6/ D Bewley 3.90 7/ J Smith 2.00 49.97
-
At 7.36 I'd definitely have a look at fitting Batchelor into the Aces line up
-
Bugger I like it 👍
