  1. Think this thread title should be changed to 'Ipswich 2016' if both the team & management fail again tonight at Plymouth! It will be season over and the crowd will stay at home, oh and I did warn everyone before the season started about the 'cheap' TM option route that Louis has gone down once again...........
  2. Oh well if it's off then at least it keeps our losing run to just four meetings in a row until we visit Edinburgh tomorrow night! Glasgow seemed to like the wet stuff at home on TV Tuesday night so if it does go ahead it will be another close result but ending in a home defeat is what I predict tonight.
  3. Rebels sure to give Ipswich a test at Foxhall this year. Surely anything gained by them tonight will put the Witches out of contention in a competition they have done well in the last couple of years. Think it will be close and could go either way by very few points.
  4. I did say it was time to 'employ' an experienced TM and not go down the cheap route of a 'willing volunteer' yet again! As the saying goes - Pay peanuts (or £0) and you know what you get. Let's hope things improve next week...............
  5. Lets get real here people, the new TM is probably just another puppet with Chris Louis operating the strings. Its an unpaid job apparently and he will just be told what he can/can't do or say I think you will find. This should have been the time to bring in a Rosco/Middleditch/Adams type character who might have actually overseen the team to win something meaningful but that of course would have cost money.....................rant over.
  6. Simmons, Louis, Messenger & now Hilton, that's four managers in less than a year. It's a bit like a football club scenario this !
  7. I'll go for another home draw. Workington have three top Premier League heat leaders and they could do the main damage, if the rest can pick up 12-15 points between them it will be a close one tonight.
  8. The Ipswich Star Thursday said - No Gino so R/R at 2 with Hawkins moving to 4.
  9. I think your probably right after reports of a very low (400 figure mentioned?) crowd for the Plymouth match! Oh and Baldy he did in fact turn up for Sky!
  10. I wonder if Mr Louis will turn up on Sky Sports tonight as a pundit at the pairs after conveniently sacking himself as 'team manager' a couple of weeks ago once this meeting was announced as being shown live on Sky TV ? Any thoughts anyone?
  11. Wasn't there but watching updates surely Hawkins would have been a better option in heat 12 as Ellis had a big off early on and looked to be struggling?
  12. Should be an easy home win tonight for the Witches but we are going to need 20+ to give us any outside chance of progress I think.
  13. Nice to see the Witches website was updated within a couple of hours after the meeting finished but maybe that's just because we won? During our recent bad run meeting reports have taken days to appear!
  14. Suit the home promotion that - 3pts and not having to pay last three heats with a less than average crowd turning up.
  15. Should be straight forward win for the Witches Wednesday evening and I think I'm right in saying we have always done well at their place to so hopeful of 4 or 5 league points over the two nights.
  16. Don't forget fixture list shows away at Berwick Saturday too! Must win Thursday or it could be another 3 bad days.
  17. And tonight Gino qualified in the world under 21's ! A big well done young man. let's just hope the next round does not mean he misses any Witches meetings then.
  18. I see he got a third place in heat two according to the Updates site????
  19. Be interesting to hear what's said at the riders forum after this meeting????
  20. A point minimum, it's a last heat decider with the scores tied!
  21. Well if they over water the track Baldy and you propose to walk it before the meeting bring your wellington boots! Let's hope Chris drums it into the riders that they have to perform as I hear there is a 'fans forum' afterwards and if the Witches lose it could get very interesting?
  22. Witches to shave this one just, Newcastle should be good enough to pick up a point though.
  23. I think I'm right in saying the Witches have never won at Somerset? Got close a couple of times but not got a victory as yet......... Not easy for them tonight missing two regulars but I reckon we may just grab a point (which is probably not enough to progress?)
  24. Both these statements do seem to be correct - Morten scores well = Ipswich will win, scores badly = lose! With Leigh we knew what to expect in nearly every meeting both home and away!
