  1. What bright spark at Lakeside gave Nicholls a golden opportunity to practice last week ? Other guests were available who were not lining up against Lakeside last night. Seems the management were relying on just doctoring the d shape to win them through. Only KK can save them now at BV !
  2. and the Pope isn't Catholic This comment says it all - I rest my case !
  3. The jealousy train just rumbles on and on ! The people critical of Poole are too stupid to realise it is all allowed by the rule book. They are completely ignorant of this fact by choice. And I support Swindon.
  4. Obviously you have not seen Havvy riding at Poole ? Not 'D' shape - splitting hairs, it is as good as. Worst shaped track in the country !
  5. What bright spark at Lakeside signed Nicholls as a guest and gave him an evenings practice before Belle Vue come next week ?
  6. Is it any wonder that Lakeside do well at home on that awful 'D' shaped track. Get a proper oval shaped track and let us see how good you really are against visiting teams. Your away record gives a good clue !
  7. Woffinden may have won the world championship but his manner is a disgrace compared to the great champions of the past. His sponsors ought to take note of his behaviour whilst being interviewed and whilst stood on the podium when National Anthems are played. Boycott his sponsers' products and see the change, but maybe not with what he has between his ears,
  8. Don't you just love it when the jealously train rumbles on - all the Poole haters green with envy falling over themselves to latch on to any morsel they can attack the club with. Great entertainment - bring it on !
  9. Time to get rid of loser Watt - losing us too many matches with his feeble scoring !
  10. What a stupid post ! So if you went to a football game you would be happy with 1- 0 and not want your team to score more goals ? Of course you would !
  11. Steve Shovlar - brilliant Periscope production from Coventry in very trying conditions ! What a tremendous heat 15 with Hans protecting the leader. Great stuff. Hope you can do productions from other away tracks, Steve. Will be watching.
  12. Anyone would think his misdeamour was to murder someone. All we have is that he marginally exceeded a mathematical limit with absolutely no evidence that it affected him, and there were mitigating circumstances. OK its a limit that all riders must abide by and he has to be sanctioned/fined. Watching from the sidelines while his club juggled the guests (as it turned out successfully) must not have been easy. However, lets wipe the slate clean for next season and let the best rider in the Elite league continue his career with the best club in the Elite league. Why deprive Sky and its viewers the sight of a star on two wheels strutting his stuff on the track.
  13. Well done to Poole Pirates - the better team over two legs by far. Long may they continue to be the dominant team in the elite league.
  14. Havelock said at the time he would be happy with a point at Lakeside. And strangely enough it was on a wet track as well.
  15. More nonsense from Havelock on the Coventry report of last night's match : “We had the best gate positions in Heats 13 and 15, and obviously Poole were going to want it off, but they rode in much worse than that on Thursday and did all 15 heats, so why didn’t they call that off? This is a Final, and we had three heats to go." So (a)The rain was certainly heavier at Coventry (b)There appears to be no thought of the riders subsequently getting injured in the pouring rain with visibilty impaired and does he not know the regulations - '15.11 After Heat 10 in an official Team fixture, only the Team that is losing may request a track inspection, or seek abandonment of the Meeting'. Since King's Lynn were always behind on aggregate on Thursday, why would they request a halt ?
  16. At least Middlo knows what is ging on. Havelock should surely have been in discussion with his captain at least to keep up with events.
  17. As a rider Havelock was superb in his day. As a manager of Coventry Speedway - utter rubbish. He really needs to keep away from giving comments/interviews on live television as he comes across as extremely naive. And it was not only this meeting that that has happened.
  18. It was stated that both captains agreed that the meeting should not continue after heat 12 and the meeting steward agreed and called a closure. As usual Havelock did'n't know who made the decision and said nobody on the Coventry side wanted to stop. Completely different story to the Chris Harris interview on camera who said it wss the right decision. (He knew that Poole would go further ahead if there were more heats.)
  19. Well done to Poole - into the Final where victory waits.
  20. All of those changes you mention were within the rules otherwise they would not have been allowed by the authorities. Obviously you don't know anything about the circuit as bend 1 has always been the most problematic area of the track.
  21. Why 'cheat'. Do you not know that Mr.Ford or anyone is unable to control the weather ?
