The item above is so correct all we see is riders double up in the top 2 leagues , the premiership is a joke the majority of riders also ride in the championship apart from the likes of Thorshell , NKI, Lambert ,R etc what i see is majority of Aussies ride in both leagues, question is this to attract them to UK instead of staying at home and earning money ? The quicker we get back to one rider one team for the season British talent may get a chance to come to the fore and we can do better at international level.

Me being a mear female when our sport was really popular 60s / 70s from what i can remember bigger leagues more variety of visiting teams and riders maybe an idea to put premiership and Championship clubs together once and for all and return to 13 heats leave national league as is hopefully capture the imagination again of the sport, when riders have bike problems they go back to basics maybe thats what speedway should do.

On the subject of the track being not up to Oaktree standard why not ask Ray Dickson to return to possibly fix it , track always had plenty grip when he was around and smooth only lives down by Exeter and retired so plenty time on his hands .

How about Danny Stoneman - 4.20 average rode for Birmingham at Dudley scored in all races handy if he can pick up some sponsorship.

Speedway is a 3 year apprenticeship and only racing makes a guy improve as most youngsters practice there own mistakes going round and round nothing wrong with being on a 3 for couple seasons . Yes we have the odd star like ellis but they are few and far between .
