Its a god awful drink!!! They had the "Monster" trucks at BV earlier this year and they gave away freebies - Its like red bull but worse!!

My personal fave commentery moment from Saturday was in the final - Millard's there chatting on with himself about Ped and gollob with a bit of Greg thrown in and all of a sudden you hear Kelvin almost screech "CRUMPPPP!" My mum had the audacity to ask (seriously) whether Leigh Adams was really from Mildura as she always thought Jason Lyons was "The Man From Mildura" - keep in mind my mum has watched every GP on sky since 1996!!

We were having a bit of a chat at Kirky Lane tonight regarding some comments made on SKY over the World Cup and I just wanted to see what the opinion was on here. Apologies if its being discussed anywhere else and I'm not deliberatly picking on Denmark, but on a number of seperate occasions, Danish riders went on TV discussing picking which position to finish in (Bjerre misunderstanding and getting a first not second, deciding at heat 20 were they wanted to finish in the first meeting etc) With in-play betting available in Speedway these days, is this not virtually the same as what would be considered match fixing in other sports??

But as Rico is the only Brit left in the GP qualifiers surely that makes him at least 3rd best brit going? (presuming that those already in the GP's are the top 2.... )

Really pleased for Ryan Sullivan!! As the forumer formally known as SullyRox I will have my fingers crossed for him in Poland!! Also feel that Charlie Gjedde has a good chance in the final. Looks quite a good line up really!! Shame Pavlic didn't quite make it but only takes one missed flight so who knows...... Is it top 3 go into the GP's? If so, my early prediction - NKI, Charlie and any one of about 10 others..... -

Thanks, got the fingers crossed for Charlie, Pavlic and Sully!! Hopefully this delay is due to a technical problem and not still the crash..... -

"british Fans A Disgrace"
Jenn replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Personally I have no problem with Hans. He passionate about the sport and I enjoy watching him race. A little hot headed sometimes but he has grown out of his old style of riding and is a pretty classy rider now. However, IMO Pedersen is calculating, dangerous, far too self important. And as for booing him - Wouldn't waste my time - I was concentrating far too much on willing Crumpy on for the well deserved win to care what Ped was up too -
Mine leaves at 10.30......and I'm slightly less organised than I thought!!! You getting the train back up North on Sunday? Damn Train changes - In what world does it take almost 5 hours to get to Manchester From Cardiff??

ooooh - now this team would be interesting! 4 of the 5 are riders i particularly support/enjoy watching! With the current GB squad being low on the above I may be tempted to switch nationalities..... -

My (neutral, as a fan of both riders) view on the Lindgren - Dryml incident for what its worth.... Initially it looked like Freddie misjudged and caught Lukas with his elbow resulting in the crash. But on further inspection, Lukas knocked the side of Freddie way before which resulted in a "leaning effect" for Freddie (bike one way, body the other) this was when Freddie's elbow caught Lukas and the rest is history! Personally I'd have excluded Lukas. But as neither was in the re-run I guess that's about as fair as it gets?! Glad both are ok - Freddie was extremely lucky not to have his bike bounce off the fence onto him. Thought it was a really good meeting last night - As a JC fan it was awesome to see him riding like he was last night - Loving his speedway!! Esp for garf - Bjerre was very good last night and even did a pass on Greg Hancock (there were jaws on the floor in my house). However there were a few times when he shut off (cant blame the guy I guess) and i feel he could have been (deservedly sp?) in the final above Hans with some tougher riding. Roll on Cardiff!!!!

And the year before that....... I'm am so flipping excited about Cardiff now!!! 13 more sleeps i think!!!
-
I'm now going! and i cant wait!!!

Clear favourites for the WTC this year have to be Denmark Andersen Pedersen Gjedde Pedersen Iversen Bjerre Mads K All either awesome riders or riders having the season of their careers or both. Thats a big selection headache - a better one than Jim Lynch has tho (by the way - I'm choosing to ignore that 4 out of the above 7 are currently either injured or recently back from injury) Jim Lynch has to go risky - Obv the top 3 pick themselves - 4 if Rico is fit. But I'd go Woffinden over every other man in the squad. Its the kind of move that could make Jim Lynch a managerial legend!
-
He could fail to qualify......or he might go on to do really well and finish on the Championship podium? In which case 22 points at Ullevi would have been a strong contribution to sucessful season. God forbid a young rider does well!!! between Harris and Freddie - I know who my money would be on to turn a good GP result into a great season.

Looking forward to this. Flying out at 7am( ) Saturday from Stansted. Will be a hectic 2 days but all good fun. Looking for a Crump, Andreas, Anderson podium - any order will do!!
