  1. I've seen enough of Bellego around Berwick as well. I'd much rather see a fresh face than him. He was too inconsistent in his time at Berwick and despite a good run last season I wouldn't have him anywhere near my team on his average.
  2. I'd be disappointed if they went with Bellego and Aarnio. I'd rather have Newman/Busk Jakobsen and Brady Kurtz or something similar. Aarnio seems to be on quite an inflated average coming off an injury.
  3. Bridger could go either way for me, he showed a lot of promise a few years ago but has since taken a year out and been a very average at best EL rider it's a boom or bust kind of signing. We need to make sure we get the next four right. I'd like to see Perry next. Surely now with Carr back on board on the average he is they can't sign Gappmaer on an inflated average.
  4. I'd rather see Berwick move on and try a new rider like Garrity or someone similar at Shielfield than see Kus or Bellego back and I wouldn't be keen on taking Gappmaer on a five either, he tailed off after a good start for me and looked slower each week. What about Josh Bates on a 5.02?
  5. Liam will struggle to maintain that average in the main body of the team.
  6. Kenneth Bjerre 8.22 Liam Carr 4.81 Kevin Doolan 6.99 Kyle Newman 6.31 Brady Kurtz 7.65 Tom Perry 3.76 NL 2 pointer 39.74 Take note Havvy 😍
  7. So do I but his track record tells me he probably won't.
  8. Unfortunately Alden will never have the necessary consistency. Always has been and always will be inconsistent.
  9. He has a fairly solid 1-5 of third string heat leaders and second strings.
  10. Couldn't agree more. With regards to Seb though he always has been and always will be an inconsistent performer and go from brilliant to average to poor in the space of three rides and we knew this coming in to the season.
  11. I fancy Sheffield will turn us over. Looking at the scores Simon Stead looks to be back to his best and they will probably have the beating of us in the big heats. Everyone needs to be flying to win this and we can't carry anyone like we have been so far this season.
  12. Plenty to answer to so might as well get on it didn't think I'd get this many peoples goats up. Totally agree Scotts work with the new promotion off the track as you point out like track covers and the training track has been fantastic and to Scotts post there's no hidden agenda Scotts a lovely guy and seems very passionate about the club. My personal opinion is he is struggling with the Team Management aspect of things so far as someone pointed out previously riders of Screenys calibre haven't been able to cut it as Team Managers and being a former rider doesn't automatically make you a brilliant Team Manager as some on here seem to think. We've had a lot of underwhelming seasons in the past where we haven't been able to cut it on track and have let riders get away with poor performances for far too long. We could easily head down that slippery slope now, I agree Newcastle are an excellent team but to lose at home to them and without Lambert and Kus was a bit worrying. I think Bager was a desperation signing rather than anything else as surely you guys can agree he doesn't suit Berwick. I want us to succeed as much as the next guy and we do have our financial constrictions I understand we are not Glasgow I'm just seriously frustrated with our constant mediocrity.
  13. They could be far worse yes but they could also be far better. Only two home wins this season and against probably the two worst teams in the league and after a fantastic away win at Edinburgh the wheels have started to come off. We should be doing better at home, I never expected us to pick up any points last night but we should have taken all 3 on Saturday from the position we were in and while we continue to struggle in the big heats Jorgensens failings this season are going to be talked about.
  14. Closer than I thought but still fell away in the later heats and Alden didn't have a lot of support. Liam looked good and is really improving this season. Jorgensen again looked poor and we need to start thinking about options there. Still plenty of questions marks but it was a better scoreline than I expected.
  15. Can see us getting absolutely hammered tonight I'm expecting something in the region of 60-30 to the Diamonds.
  16. It's super frustrating especially when all your closest rivals are all streets ahead of you every year. We are so far behind Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow when it comes to on the track. What I would pay to have someone like George English run our team.
  17. I don't think it's 'transition' we are in it's more of a constant mediocrity. We seem to constantly take two steps forward and one step back on the track that is.
  18. He was garbage three years ago and he's only got older and slower. Anyone that knows anything about speedway at Berwick knows you can't sign white liners for Berwick well everyone apart from our management it seems.
  19. Care to explain how it is or are you happy with how things are going so far this season?
  20. Courtney's inept management has ruined our start to the season, this is not the first decision which has raised question marks for me.
  21. The early season optimism has completely gone. An awful meeting, no racing and a defeat just to top it off. Jorgensen needs to pull his finger out he's been poor all season and if he doesn't start turning up its time to get rid of him. Bager looked worse than Mellgren at least Mellgren could gate, Bager just missed the start and hugged the white line. It's time for Courtney to walk if he thinks Henning Bager is the answer.
  22. I'd rather run with R/R than have to put up with a rider that was past it three years ago. I completely agree with Jenga Courtney's management has been poor so far. I know he's been integral to bringing the training track to Berwick and is a really nice guy but if this move fails maybe we need to find a new position for him.
  23. A really good meeting last night but I think we probably should have won it, how Simon Nielsen only had four rides is beyond me considering Liam was having an off night by his high standards so far this year and Anders is a shadow of the rider he previously was. Robbo was superb I don't think TJ would have won the races he did tonight, Theo looked like he was lacking power tonight, Seb was Seb and probably had his best meeting of the season he's a true enigma and Kev was his usual solid self despite only scoring 7. I think Anders is just about finished he's a shadow of he the guy he was a few years ago it's understandable considering the injury he suffered and it's a shame but I think we need to make a change. All in all there is plenty of positives to take from the League Cup especially the win at Edinburgh but I think we could have had a shot at progressing from the group with some better decisions last Sunday at Glasgow and also last night.
  24. I don't think Stichauer would have pulled up any trees either.
  25. Awfully quick on the defensive there.
