  1. The league is being split the past few seasons into the haves and have nots, unfortunately Edinburgh along with Plymouth and Berwick seem to be in the second category. Edinburgh have at least tried this season so far with Palovaara and Grahn to bring something fresh, unfortunately the big hitters often stay put or chase the money elsewhere. They might pull a rabbit out of the hat, there is still time yet.
  2. I can see Nicholls slotting in nicely as part of a double change if things don’t go as planned. The reserves are both exciting prospects, Masters is one of the top three riders in the league and I think Jenkins will keep improving. It will be interesting to see if Heeps can be as successful as he was last season, Knudsen has been nothing short of a disappointment in the last couple of seasons at Berwick and Redcar after a promising start but he has plenty promise, Gilkes is pretty meh for me but plenty people seem to rate him so I’ll maybe be proven wrong on that one.
  3. Someone’s been on the Christmas tipples tonight 😂😂
  4. Dayle will be elsewhere in the championship I think.
  5. I’m surprised Ace Pijper isn’t in it, as he was in the other 98.
  6. I think Paco and Kye are a very similar level but both are a tick above Lasse at this stage of there careers imo. I think it’s harsh to ding Paco for riding at 4 when Kye was 3, they ride in the same heats 3/4 times and then face their opposite number in the last heat and depending on that teams riding order it could be the next strongest rider after the 1 and 5. For instance when they rode Berwick Paco would predominantly ride against Drew Kemp last season who was 3rd in their averages whereas Kye would ride against Jye Etheridge who was 4th/5th.
  7. Lewis Kerr will be fine, exactly as fine as he was at Oxford when he had Masters and Nicholls to share the load. Along with Lawson, Rowe and Cook it will be one of the strongest top fours in the league and I have no doubt the whole 7 will be a match for Glasgow (If the rumours about their team is true) at the top of the table. I do enjoy a chuckle at some Poole fans worries at the team won’t be strong enough, I can only dream of my team having those worries lol. Barring injury woes or some drastic underperformances then I’d pencil the Pirates in for the play offs and probably the BSN and KO cup finals, semi finals at least.
  8. I can’t see much difference between the two personally having watched them both race plenty of times in the Champo, Gilkes is a slight tick above but the difference between the two won’t be the reason Sheffield win or lose meetings imo. I may be slightly off but I’ve never gotten the hype around Gilkes, looks destined to be an average Champo rider and a reserve in the Prem for as long as I can see, I hope he proves me wrong as we need many more young Brits to succeed.
  9. I thought it was Prem Ave x 1.5 which would make it: Klindt 9.89 Ellis 8.20 Inc discount Someone I’m sure can correct me if I’m wrong?
  10. If those two win it back to back then I’d suggest it’s time to put that award on the shelf for a long long time.
  11. You couldn’t pay me enough to have to spend every Friday night with Cami Brown.
  12. A very typical Scunthorpe team of recent years I think, will be strong at home and weak away, looking to build big home leads to win bonus points and challenge for the playoffs. I see them as a team that will be challenging for the playoffs and will potentially make it based off of home form.
  13. Would be great for April, not sure what we’d do for the rest of the year when he inevitably goes missing on track or doesn’t turn up at all or whatever other excuse in the book he comes up with. I could absolutely see him being the choice but he will never be my flavour of the month unfortunately.
  14. I’m certainly not saying it would be a signing I would ever choose, just merely looking at the landscape of who’s available and taking a wild guess.
  15. That’s the word on the rumour mill, no way we will be able to replace a rider of Schleins quality at this stage. Wooden spoon chasing again potentially?
  16. Given that Palovaara has been given an assessed 5.00 as he hasn’t ridden in this country for a number of years, that may mean Kim Nilsson would be assessed too and based on his Polish league standing these days I believe he’d come in on a 6.50. Would be a shrewd bit of business by Edinburgh to get both of them on assessed averages. 1) Sedgy 2) VP 3) MPT 4) Paco 5) Nilsson 6) Lasse 7) James
  17. You know it’s an art form to finish bottom every year, I’m looking forward to another season battling for the wooden spoon, we do have the almighty Border Trophy that being said.
  18. As much as it pains me to say this, if the rumoured lineups elsewhere are close to true I would fancy that Glasgow team as comfortable favourites to make the play offs and challenge for silverware.
  19. I get we both think he should move on I just don’t understand why his pre Berwick form and him not being a world beater as you say in 2016 is relevant to 2024 or 2025? That is the part that confuses me. Steve Worrall averaged 3.00 in 2013 and was dropped by both Newcastle and Redcar but it’s completely irrelevant now isn’t it? I would be moving on because he was poor in 2024 not because of the rider he was when he first arrived in this country.
  20. That was also 8 years ago, riders improve/decline over time, experience and age have a lot to do with it. Statistics from as long ago as that are absolutely meaningless imo, you could also pull up his stats from 2022 where he finished the season with a 6.29 average and say he’s great value at 4.98. It’s just cherry picking stats to suit your agenda, I absolutely agree it’s time to move on for both parties but it’s a very odd way to frame it using his pre Berwick stats from nearly a decade ago.
  21. The cost of someone scoring more points generally would be more expensive if you are paid per point?
  22. Don’t see either of them being at Berwick, Gilkes to Oxford and Pearson with his Polish commitments but I would have Pearson every day of the week, don’t rate Gilkes at all personally.
  23. I can see the final three being filled in either one of the two ways below: Vissing, Trigger (Or Equivalent), 2 Pointer Etheridge, Foord, Trigger (Or Equivalent)
