never said its cheapest, just pointing out, every activity cost money, I personally don't think £16 is expensive to watch a speedway match..how on earth can you pay 14 riders alone,on anything less?..i put on monthly shows, the out goings would shock most people.. the hot dog and coke at pictures not cheap either..people on a Friday night don't think twice of paying £30 for a round of drinks, not sure why cost enters peoples heads sometimes

statistics are not pointless, they are easily agumentive, like politics..im certainly not saying they are wrong, it just solves nothing.. 2013 world number 1 tai woffinden.. end of.... you could argue any single world title, but whats the point? carter/penhalll....szczakiel/mauger....to name just 2....all pointless......poole lge champions when not top? you can argue about anything.. people over the yrs will not remember jarek, darcy, emil or anybody, unless they achieve hat woffy has,, im no woffy fan, im just saying he IS world number 1............... -

who was best rider in 1967??????????? I ask that because, all that matters is the history book..in 30 yrs time NOBODY will mention darcy ward unless he wins the world title....until he makes history, hes just a list riders that made up the numbers! -
I have never read just long winded drivel..its not even an argument that make any sense....since when has world champions be given to top average riders?..why bother staging world finals, just hand it to top average riders!..utter stupity to suggest comparisns. tai has achieved the biggest goal in worlod speedway, darcy hasn't, and until he does, theres no comparison!
-
jerzy szczakiel 1973 world champion..mauger fell, who was injured?...who cares, szczakiel can never lose his place in history..all these ward/adams stories are irrelevant...hard luck stories, carter/Jessup, the list is endless

the racing sky tv live games -
quite rite!!
-
im sure some people here can argue amongst themselves!....woffy is world champion. world number 1.... ward has the potential, adams had the potential, but never won it!....woffy has left his mark in speedway history.
-
yep agree crazy robin.....apologies for that
-
surely the programme would be filled in by by time riders back in pits?i would of thought notes such as best gate, would be noted, and surely he would be planning tactical move a race in advance?
-
thank you last posts share my view..its NOT clear cut, and shows my opinion wasn't "rubbish" as stated earlier, the arrogant statement couldn't be backed up, as a whole host of riders through the yrs could be plucked out
-
can we go back to 0 pts for any loss?.......over the course of a season, does this system change much?
-
crazy robin...6.32pm think you said in gp history.......if I read that wrong I apologise, I don't have any problems in apologising, but will never apologise for having a different opinion.........but yes, we are off topic now
-
can a worms or what?.....incognito is spot on...split waterman good suggestion, carter mega unlucky, jessup another, sigalos hugely talented.......I don't say adams is right or wrong answer, cos I don't think there is a rite/wrong answer...different generations will have different views.....I think worse riders have won it quite a few times, but again, its my view igor plechanov (2) second places..even that tops adams, and no1 would suggest him, yet his record is in history books..look at the amount of poles over the yrs that has made the rostrum, loads of riders record could be argued on this topic...would gollob of ever been champ had there not been 2 polish rounds?...this is a pointless argument all round..its opinions at end of the day
-
whilst I wouldn't of said tommy Knudsen, philfromcov is his opinion, and quite right to have that view.. leigh adams was undoubtly a brilliant rider, but at end of the day (if im correct) he made 2 rostrums?.....again im not saying zenon plech was my opinion, he too made 2 rostrums, and only beaten by ivan mauger (6x world champ) adams was beaten by nicki p?? this is a pointless argument, as statistics/opinions will vary greatly
-
make up your mind....best rider never to win it? or best rider in gp history?..... I don't care what your opinion is, the word "rubbish" on an opinion is YOUR OPINION not mine. theres no fact about it what so ever..i was talking pre gp, but whilst you are entitled your opinion, I am quite rightly entitled mine..
-
the leigh adams "best rider to never win title" was quoted on sky and appears to be taken by many people, but I think many many riders coud argue that point.....leigh was a dominant lge rider, but on the gp stage, im not that sure really

potential, ifs, buts, loadsa questions for me on wolves line up.. a side on paper, that looks poor to me, but as you say could surprise..i think many fans/clubs will see wolves as a side they can turnover home or away, and really cant see wolves picking up 3pt home wins or 4pt away wins..not knocking them here, just don't look a side to put fear in the opposition
