if i wanna watch someone learn there trade, i dont expect to see them in an "elite" lge. you want to, you go ahead, its your money, your choice -

and just to add, any team of any decade that had the quality of louis/gollob/ricko in their prime, with nicholls. its pretty obvious the reserves would be weak!! -

clouting was awful, i got more points on my driving licence!....but would still of put him above bates..also svab wasnt a bad reserve, and they were much much stronger line ups in the 98 yr of 6 man teams my point is, quite simple really....of course ricko was way ahead of clouting, stating the obvious or what? my point is, we had our "own" teams, whether weak or strong, not this crap mix n match system -

when you had ricko world champ, louis british champ, gollob, nicholls, in what was a 6 man team in them days, who needed the other 2? but altho i was far from a clouting fan, was he not brit u21 champ that yr as well. svab was a useful reserve as well..has any club had a world 1,3 and 5 in same season?......think lee and jessup were 1 and 2 -

ok, no probs, just different views..i just personally think our sport is in a poor way, and since the introduction of the gp, i just feel its going one way. totally cheesed off with amount of mix n match riders/teams..i just old fashioned i guess, and think a team should be same 7 riders, not this current format where riders constantly turn out in different race jackets, week in week out -

have a day off, you clearly never watched a polish league match, or the 98 witches..2 riders once every other week? nonsense weakest reserves in elite lge history, how on earth is this not watered down!! -

the bloke is full of excuses, its his crew, his machinery, everything bar the truth, ,,,hes mediocre, he is most definately not a top quality rider, and the astonashing request for people to help finance him pre season topped it all!! -
yep, but think you know what i meant!......how many prem teams are turning up with makeshift sides? bank holiday, when "new" fans turn up, are not gonna have a clue on there next visit and see different line ups..its totally farcical, and you can see why papers and news channels dont bother with it
-
the short sightness of using reserves was non sensical right from the outset, its a financial benefit without doubt, it ruins all teams in prem league as they constantly having makeshift sides, its all just mix n match...the crazy suggestion of bringing on brit riders is just an excuse for watering down league, woffy came through the system to be world champ, like in any sport, talent will shine through, and the real star quality performers will make it..until teams go back to having their OWN riders 1-7, this "sport" is forever going to be a laughing stock..my god we even got to a stage with guest managers now!!
-
the adam ellis problem with reserves being injured was clearly stated on this forum about these regulations, was obvious these problems would occur with this daft ruling

i cant give you anything, but my love..stylistics....yes its old, but you have to remember, MAJORITY of speedway fans wo still goes recall the stuff they heard when goin to speedway, yes you have to cater for younger generation, but as things stand, its the fans from the 70s thats keeping speedway alive, not the fans from the 00s -

thought into the right music IS a big part of the night, totally agree with scb posts, and also agree you dont need to be a speedway fan to present..it clearly helps, but for me id much rather listen to jonathan green than nigel pearson, for example
