  1. Crumpy is an ignoramus, he had to be forced to do a parade lap after each race win in the ELRC because he couldn't be arsed, and he point blank refused to be interviewed before the meeting by Midlands Today as did Smiler Adams Well done to Rory for stepping in, someone with a bit more showbiz in him, who should have been crowned the champ had it not been for Crumpy taking to the ground without contact in the first running of the final
  2. Germans !!! They haven't learnt ! as Freddie Starr says
  3. http://www.superkids.dk/english.php
  4. I received a really nice email off Tommy just after he was in Coventry to celebrate their first league win since........ Coventry orgainsed a rendezvous for him with my son who we named after TK. see www.tommyknudsen.co.uk. He has 3 kids who all perform in dance, athletics etc in Denmark through a program called Superstars or something like that. Lost the email when my PC crashed and had to have new inards
  5. We did want feedback its very useful, I simply meant its IMG who could potentially book us in the future so the main aim was to impress them. Re the above, Yeah IMG requested music from tapes to stop after the riders reached the first bend, we were allowed to make suggestions but they were our employer on the day and we did as we were told. Again thanks for the input we really want people to enjoy the day, thats my final word on it for this year, hopefully we'll have the chance to discuss it again next year if we get the privelidge and if not we'll be there cheering on the Brits as we have been every year
  6. I have already stated that all the comments both positive and negative have been taken on board and thanked people for their comments, suggestion, praise and concerns many postings ago. They have been sent to IMG yesterday and I'm sure they can work out that although some people didn't appreciate our efforts that the majority did. I fail to see the relevance of the GP being in Wales and being cautious with song choices??? Its the British GP and all the British Riders were English, hence our song choices, they were only meant to be vague links. If there was a Welsh Rider I'd have played a Welsh related song for him If you didn't like the presentation I apologise, if you did like it I'm glad. At the end of the day the people who are important re potential rebookings etc are IMG who I am pleased to say were ecstatic with what we did as were Sky. Everything we did in relation to length of tracks, when they were played etc was under their instruction. Believe me when they had an issue with anything we knew about it in seconds !! Thanks again for eveyones input, I truly believe that the majority of people found our inclusion an enhancement to the day and to those people in particular I look forward to entertaining you again in the future Bart
  7. Thanks for all the responses, I hadn't anticipated so many LOL Got plenty to go on now. It's good to get all the feedback and take it on board so that improvements can be made at future events. & thanks also to the mods for allowing a seperate thread when there's so many Cardiff one's going on! Bart
  8. Thanks mate, the guys who did the Fireworks are from Gothenburg and do everything themselves so we had no input to that, but your right that would be a cracking track to use
  9. Cheers mate very construnctive, re Bomber we were particulary told we could not use that track Scotty was Chelsea Dagger mate
  10. Apologies to all for that particular track, the idea was to play the start for people who recognised it to chuckle to, the problem was we were on 2 seperate sound desks and it took probably an extra 12 secs than we would have liked to switch to the next track. It WONT be used again unless we have full control Apologies
  11. not sure, we played two tracks as the riders were on there way to the tapes a different on each time, one is oh yeah off ferris bueller and the other is the race by yellow. Hope that helps?
  12. Not sure if the FIM will give us feedback? I really enjoyed it, I've taken on board a few changes, I really thought the Bomber incident got great coverage on SKY they used the stadium footage with no talking for about 60 secs so it must have been impressive! The idea is to be tacky with some of the music and jingles and our style is to choose a song for a rider and then constantly go with it. I know we will never please everyone but I'm very much into hearing peoples opinions and then making an educated decision on what to run with. The Easy Chants in the Rock n Roll weren't liked by some at Brandon, especially visitors but we listened spoke to the powers that be and decided to still run with it. And the team members took the easy easy onboard in a big way as they still use it to date when they have a great meeting or something impressive happens. Some changes were made yesterday throughout the meeting on the Event Managers requests, they were the people paying us at the end of the day. We continue to learn with stuff each time we do a meeting, this was the biggest thing I've ever worked at. The Land of Hope and Glory was one little part of the day that whether you watched on Sky or were in the Stadium that I'm sure people will fondly remember for a long time and that was down to me At the end of the day we run with the policy that there's a lot of time to fill in a speedway meeting and we want to entertain people to keep the sport growing from strength to strength. It'd be far more profitable to just do disco's in pubs and singing gigs but speedway's in our blood and I guess that's why we make it our priority to put on the best show we possibly can
  13. all fall down was for Bombers mechanic who went ** up on the centre green and then took a bow
  14. Thanks again, but it all add's to the fun, which is why we were booked by IMG . And judging by the feedback on here although I respect your views I can only assume they are in the minority. Lets face it the forum is usually where people whinge so to get a lot of good feedback is unusual. We must be doing something right!
  15. LOL can you suggest a song for Bjarne Pedersen? I wracked my brain but couldn't come up with anything except the slight Danish Link?
  16. Thanks for your thoughts John. Wizard of Oz was only played for Crumpie no one else Copenhagen only played for Bjarne
  17. We've used the Wizard of Oz for a long time for Crumpie, the snippets of songs were to get specific lines in themed to what was going on like, mardy bum, scumbag, que sera, hit the road jack etc. Anyway glad you enjoyed some of it
