Add the names of William Lawson and Ricky Ashworth. Totally agree with Tourettes, if we are going to demand a big-name No 1 instead of a 2014-style strength-in-depth squad, we deserve to be called fannies.

Radio preview of match said Kyle Howarth hoped to be fit to ride. So you might not need your gusset. -

Redcar V Berwick (pl) August 7
Ned Kelly 41 replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Sounds like a fiddle to me. If Lawson's off chasing EL gold in a rearranged fixture, his replacement should be a National Leaguer, not Glasgow's in-form captain. But Redcar have it in them (with Lawson or Pijper) to win -- their last three weeks' home wins over Newcastle, Scunthorpe and Workington show they are the form team here, now, on this track. Berwick could only manage 20-odd at Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago, why should people expect them to roll the Bears over? -
Last season there were mutterings when Somerset brought in Charles Wright at the end of the year to replace Stefan Nielsen, who certainly hadn't been doing much wrong. After they then won the league, with Charles playing a major role, everyone praised Debbie and Garry for making the move. Liam Carr will come again, but this season hasn't managed much away from home. Berwick still have more than half their away matches to be raced, so the swap of two club assets is a sensible one. John Anderson has strengthened his team, which is what a team manager is supposed to do, and with Berwick in a position to be in the top six, probably top three, why should he not be looking toward the play-offs?

A forthright apology, and a clear explantation of both the circumstances on Saturday and the regular ambulance availability. You might expect some of the previous 200-plus posters on this subject to reconsider their viewpoints. -

Your newsletter is excellent, far ahead of any other club I know of. Berwick unfortunately suffer from having just a couple of absolute pin-pricks who come on here, criticising everything the club achieves. Other clubs get sniping from rival fans of neighbouring tracks, understandable and often funny. Berwick get unfunny, unwanted sniping from within, which is sad to see. Carry on, Berwick. You are leading the field in so many ways. -
Does nobody actually read the rule-book before posting on here about vague memories? 14.2.1 Specifically the Clerk of Course must: * instruct all Officials/Staff in their tasks ensuring they have appropriate information, documentation, knowledge and equipment enabling them to undertake their duties expeditiously and properly, with particular attention to these Regulations and the H&SAW Act. * ensure the track is clear before any Parade is held, instructing Riders not to make any practice starts if Riders are without Helmets.

Eurosport Or Sky ?
Ned Kelly 41 replied to rob tatum's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
It must be better to have competition instead of a monopoly. So leave Sky to provide domestic coverage (which Eurosport/Quest can't, as they don't have the capabilities) and E/Q to accept the SGP/SWC feed from BSI/IMG and pump it out as provided. Competition is supposed to keep everyone honest. Has everyone by now realised that Sky actually go to meetings and film them, while E/Q have no such facilities and have to buy in pictures from an outside source? They are not like-for-like providers, no matter how the end-product seems coming out your set in Cockermouth or Cornwall. -
Scottish Speedway And The Independance Vote
Ned Kelly 41 replied to teddy2706's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Correct. The vote is to be, or not to be, part of the UK. Nothing to do with Great Britain, which is an island. Which Scotland is irrevocably part of. Scots will still be "British" -- just as they were between 1314 and 1707. -
Final to be staged where and when, please?

8.2.1 At all Meetings there must be a 2nd Medical Treatment facility; either a 2nd Ambulance or Medical Room (i.e. a private area that can be easily accessed which is well lit, dry, windproof and heated with curtains or similar at any window containing a chair, a couch or similar, plus a supply of basic medical equipment and facilities for hand washing with hot and cold water). NB. If this is an Ambulance an additional Driver/Attendant is not necessary but appropriately qualified persons must be available to supervise a casualty.

Sgp Challenge Final Sat 20th Sept

All this would be more-acceptable if Covatti was an Italian. Everyone knows he is a Spanish-speaking Argentinean born and bred, riding under a flag of convenience.
