Student Admission Prices
theflyingkiwi replied to Soul Crew's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I think all clubs should have student prices, the sport as a whole needs to target a younger population. When I have tried to persuade some of my friends to come along with me they aren't willing to risk near enough £20 on something they are not sure of when they have barely enough money for anything else. -
Save Mildenhall Stadium-online Petition
theflyingkiwi replied to adz_mft's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Signed. This is not just a Speedway problem this could have major implications for the future of all sports in this country, yet how many of those who do not follow Speedway will take the time to sign this and think that it would never happen to their club or sport until it's too late. -
Swc Kings Lynn Tickets On Sale
theflyingkiwi replied to theflyingkiwi's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I still think to charge people £38 for a seat 12 days after Cardiff is a joke. -
In my opinion once a rider has ridden for one country that should be it. The fact that the licence you ride under is the determinant of what nationality you can ride for is a joke. Once you have represented a country at any International meeting should mean that you can only ever represent that country. However Speedway has never seemed to have a logical set of rules to follow has it?

I am in the same boat, I booked flights and hotel long ago, but the longer this goes on the more I think I've made the wrong decision booking anything. -

Sgp Riders' Numbers
theflyingkiwi replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Wont this make it even more confusing for the casual fan? -
I think Mr. Taggart makes an extremely valid point in stating what right do AFC Wimbledon have on the Plough Lane site. The original site was at the other end of Plough Lane, however It always seems to me that those who run football clubs and their fans always believe that football has a god given right to any piece of land that they perceive as 'suitable' and disregard any other sport's that may currently preside in that venue. At the present time Kingsmeadow fulfills the needs of AFC Wimbledon and it is fantasy that their almighty return to Plough Lane will signal a return to the higher echelons of the professional game. What I do fear is the mismanagement of the Stadium by Risk Capital Partners is falling right into the hands of the AFC Wimbledon, the fact that the Stadium is in a dreadful condition must affect attendance figures and this could lead to questioning the value of Greyhound racing in London.

Sgp Riders' Numbers
theflyingkiwi replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
In my opinion I also believed that it made the GP series more professional. I think that for the casual fan to see any number on the back of a race jacket or in the program looks a little mickey-mouse. What happens in the Grand Prix Challenge qualifiers or the World Cup!?
