  1. Must be worried about ticket sales, seen an absolute bombardment of social media today trying to shift more tickets. Seems like the whole Bydgoscsz flight tomorrow will be dominated by speedway fans as I am on that flight aswell.
  2. By my reckoning there is still around 11000-12000 tickets unsold. Surely this puts the attendance on par with the Italian GP last year.
  3. I think all clubs should have student prices, the sport as a whole needs to target a younger population. When I have tried to persuade some of my friends to come along with me they aren't willing to risk near enough £20 on something they are not sure of when they have barely enough money for anything else.
  4. Signed. This is not just a Speedway problem this could have major implications for the future of all sports in this country, yet how many of those who do not follow Speedway will take the time to sign this and think that it would never happen to their club or sport until it's too late.
  5. I still think to charge people £38 for a seat 12 days after Cardiff is a joke.
  6. Just seen on the SpeedwayGP website that tickets for the event at Kings Lynn have been placed on sale. Grandstand seats for £38?! Pretty sure thats with the 25% discount if you book early aswell.
  7. In my opinion once a rider has ridden for one country that should be it. The fact that the licence you ride under is the determinant of what nationality you can ride for is a joke. Once you have represented a country at any International meeting should mean that you can only ever represent that country. However Speedway has never seemed to have a logical set of rules to follow has it?
  8. Yes the link is in one of the emails that they send out. Until then for me it said that booking had not been paid and tickets can not be printed out.
  9. If it helps my passport number has been printed on the ticket under my name.
  10. I am in the same boat, I booked flights and hotel long ago, but the longer this goes on the more I think I've made the wrong decision booking anything.
  11. I remember Justin Elkins scoring an 18 point maximum and winning the Bronze Helmet at Wimbledon then the next week 4 Engine Failures. The guy had some real talent.
  12. Gaillard have also won the contract for Upton Park redevelopment when West Ham move to the Olympic Stadium.
  13. Thanks for keeping us posted. Isn't any matter in speedway always a 'saga'
  14. Where will this tickets be sold? Will it be on the KupBilet website or elsewhere?
  15. Felt that there was more to do in Stockholm, it was a cleaner city and also I found that it was much easier to get around. The Friends Arena is a very remarkable stadium for a GP to be held in also.
  16. Wont this make it even more confusing for the casual fan?
  17. I think Mr. Taggart makes an extremely valid point in stating what right do AFC Wimbledon have on the Plough Lane site. The original site was at the other end of Plough Lane, however It always seems to me that those who run football clubs and their fans always believe that football has a god given right to any piece of land that they perceive as 'suitable' and disregard any other sport's that may currently preside in that venue. At the present time Kingsmeadow fulfills the needs of AFC Wimbledon and it is fantasy that their almighty return to Plough Lane will signal a return to the higher echelons of the professional game. What I do fear is the mismanagement of the Stadium by Risk Capital Partners is falling right into the hands of the AFC Wimbledon, the fact that the Stadium is in a dreadful condition must affect attendance figures and this could lead to questioning the value of Greyhound racing in London.
  18. I see tickets for Polonia Bydgoscsz are now available on KupBilet. So surely it is not long now.
  19. It has to be Wimbledon for me, but I also liked visiting the County Ground.
  20. Any more on this? Or will tickets just appear in a couple of weeks? Or will there be any notice?
  21. In my opinion I also believed that it made the GP series more professional. I think that for the casual fan to see any number on the back of a race jacket or in the program looks a little mickey-mouse. What happens in the Grand Prix Challenge qualifiers or the World Cup!?
