I maybe got the name wrong, I just had a glance at the article and it mentioned Bridger joining alongside King and Kerr? EDIT: just realised you maybe didn't know what I was referring to, see post below mines
-
I noticed Mr Bridger has been named as a face of 'Team Revolution' alongside King & Kerr. I know he's probably not wanted by lions fans after last years shambles of a comeback, but could he be plan Z?
-
He's given plenty to the Glasgow promotion though.. How to spend big bucks and still win nothing
-
I think that is the way it was described last year, but the rules change that often it's probably something completely different by now! The fog appears when the rider is an asset of a club in neither league (as is the case with Max Clegg)...
-
He was announced by both clubs on the same day (1st of December), so not really clear who he signed for first. He is a Somerset asset, which is probably why Edinburgh get priority.
-
Yes he is

Ben Fund Meeting 2016
CaptainAudi replied to stevehone's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Incorrect as Edinburgh got a British semi a couple of years back. Maybe not quite as prestigious, but it's still a good meeting to be granted! -
I'm not one to bite, i enjoy the banter and hope it continues for as long as possible! That last sentence, I can agree with. Hopefully the better side of edinburgh can defeat Glasgows manky mob tomorrow aswell!
-
As I've said a few times on here, there's an obsession from both sides, not just Glasgow. And It's impossible to deny that we are weaker, of course we are, only the stupid would try to deny it... Also happy new year to yourself, and all the other posters who read this. Hope you all have great years!
-
You've only mentioned it 4 or 5 times in December alone.... Your not far off reaching an obsession level that even the Weej faithful would be ashamed of
-
I echo the above comment!
-
That's true I suppose, my post was more about how it was supposed to be "poor team building", when it's in no way affected by the other riders averages...
-
Why would putting the 3 pointer first or last make a difference? They have to be bang on 3.00 either way?
-
I also agree with this, ! If it's not Edinburgh then I hope the Comets are champions! Very good team on paper, fingers crossed for an injury season for your whole 1-7!
-
Can't say it any better than that, was a real talent when he was at his best!
-
He shouldn't need a reduction. Monarchs have 6.12 left at the moment, but Max Clegg should be due a 2.5% (I think it's 2.5 anyway) reduction on his average for the first 3 years out the NL, which I think will put him from 3.48 to below 3.44, enough to fit LB in should he decide to ride again and come to edinburgh.
-
When Kai was rumoured last year before Erik signed, it was mentioned that he would be a 7.00 average due to having ridden a few meetings in Poland, not sure how true that is though?
-
No, they didn't miss a trick as he was on a 7.00 until Somerset wanted him
-
Can't deny that, all teams have them! Good news that Sam is back though, the next signing (unless it is the 3.00 rider) is absolutely crucial! Get this right and we are onto a winning team again. How much exactly do we have left?
-
Oh no, what will the posters who are obsessed with edinburgh rather than their own team talk about now.... ?
-
The meltdown on the monarchs FB would be absolutely hilarious if this happens, but highly doubt that we are ever going to be that desperate....
-
I'd imagine the replacement would have to be on a 3.00 average aswell and would have to be eligible at the start of the season for the #7 position. If not, there's nothing to say Glasgow (just using them as an example as they have named their reserve already) couldn't replace Danny Ayres mid-season on a 3.5 odd average and replace him with Rob Branford. I wouldn't have a problem with that personally, but if Rob isn't eligible at the start of the season, how can he suddenly be eligible after the season starts?
-
Maybe a slightly longer post than if have posted, but generally I agree. There's a few glasgow fans that are just as bad as the ones above. Far to many posters on here (both sets of supporters, not just one side or the other) trying to "get one up" on the other side with sarcasm or just being downright nasty. Can't we all just get along??
-
Seen that earlier on, probably the team you would expect him to sign for in reality.
