  1. Edinburgh hope to extend their record of being unbeaten this season on Friday at home to Newcastle, who can sometimes be a bogey team for the Monarchs at Armadale (indeed winners twice there last season). Monarchs are hopeful that American reserve Aaron Fox will be fit to face the Diamonds. Newcastle may also be forced to use R/R for Lewis Rose, who pulled out before the Kings Lynn meeting because of a crash at Newcastle on Sunday, and will be without Chris Schramm, who also missed the Diamonds home defeat to Redcar through injury. The diamond will use Scunthorpes(NL) Ryan McDonald as a guest. Predicted Line Ups: Edinburgh Monarchs: 1. Craig Cook 2. Justin Sedgmen 3. Max Fricke 4. Derek Sneddon © 5. Sam Masters 6. Aaron Fox (Or Guest) 7. Steve Worrall. Newcastle Diamonds: 1. Danny King 2. Lewis Rose (or R/R) 3. Stuart Robson © 4. Lewis Kerr 5. Ludvig Lindgren 6. Dan Greenwood 7. Ryan McDonald (Guest)
  2. Sam Masters? He said he was hoping on getting an EL place at some point this season and I'm sure he had a stint with Poole a few seasons back. Edit: just seen he is guesting for the lions at Swindon on Thursday night. Maybe a sign, maybe not, as I'm sure he would have been announced by now.
  3. Rest in peace RICO, always in our thoughts!
  4. David Bellego had a blonde moment at Armadale a couple of weeks ago, pulling up just before the line to gift Kevin Doolan (on a T/R) third place, thinking he would get 2 points instead of 1.
  5. Sam Masters just asked on facebook if anyone could mechanic for him at Sheffield on Thursday, must have done a revert back to Mellgren and are using a guest.
  6. Second meeting in a week Edinburgh have gone away and forced the home team to use a tactical ride, excellent stuff lads, made even more impressive with no Max Fricke!
  7. I saw somewhere that Ben is already guesting for Roland Benko at Plymouth tomorrow night, hence why Rye can't use him.
  8. So what's DK's average after conversion? 10.5 or similar??
  9. I'm thinking you might be one of those ones who moan about riders having poor equipment but don't actually want to help him improve it. As TWK says, it's the individual's choice, most people will help a rider because their wages aren't that great.
  10. Wouldn't quite say you guys needed a change at the moment. Ales has been scoring fairly well for his average IMO and the reserves have both improved well enough in the first few meetings. You would probably be better off saving those spare points for, touchwood, any injuries that may occur. I think Christian will end up at Glasgow anyway if the numbers work.
  11. What is the rate for conversion from EL to PL?
  12. Just wait till 'DIAMONDS' sees this.... He will go into overdrive....
  13. Edinburgh website says it was called of because the EoES was suddenly unavailable today. Have fun
  14. Fair enough, I'm thought I seen somewhere that he would be in place for Monday, but maybe I was imagining it or the goalposts have moved since then!?
  15. Was Nicolai Klindt not supposed to be joining Scunthorpe on a 28 day contract to cover for Mellgren and making his "debut" on Monday? The guest on Friday was because it was too late to re-declare? Which would make the sunny team: 1. Josh Auty 2. David Howe 3. Ryan Douglas 4. Ashley Birks 5. Nicolai Klindt 6. Matt Williamson 7. Thomas Jorgensen If I'm wrong then I'm open to being corrected, just thought I had read that somewhere?
  16. Hands off Wee Joe, he's just biding his time so we can fix Sneddons average up to 6.00
  17. How many Qualify from each semi final? Guessing it's probably 5 from each (15) plus a wildcard for each round? Moan the Fricke!!!
  18. You imagine right! Although Glasgow have two NL Guests on Friday so missing Steve won't hopefully hit us too hard if we need cover in the event of delay
  19. Quick lads, we've been rumbled! Operation "send Richie back to Ipswich" is a go!
  20. Those were two incredible rides! Not an old style team ride either! Cookie went deep on each corner and cut right back up the inside, creating a barrier that the home riders couldn't get past. If I remember correctly it was Lindgren At Newcastle and Risager at Ipswich. The thing with cookie is, 9/10 he gates quicker than his partner, so it would be foolish for him to slow up to let them past.
  21. Announcement of Berwicks new track and the new 'Inverness Monsters' team in one day!? I need a lie down! P.s. April Fools
  22. I'm guessing a Monarchs win by atleast 10. Our lads will want to start the season well and should be too strong for Glasgow at the dale! with the second leg being a closer encounter.
